A florist in Venice handles the arrangement and delivery when you order from abroad. When choosing the flowers, consider the recipient’s tastes and whether you want the gift to feel personal, formal or understated for the person receiving it. The online payment is made in your own currency. Include a personal card message at no extra cost, with the wording reproduced exactly as you enter it. Before confirming the order, check the spelling of names and sign the message as you want the recipient to read it, especially when ordering for someone else. People locate the town by Bartolomeo Colleoni in conversation, but an order is matched to a street and a postcode, so give the full address of the destination. Local landmarks such as Francesco Petrarca are how the town is usually described, though a delivery is routed by street, number and postcode rather than by landmark.

Complete the order with the destination’s street address, number, postcode and town, adding the recipient’s full name and contact telephone number. Where access depends on a door code, include that code in the order details. Keep the locality on the order when the recipient’s address is in Carpenedo. For an address written in Italy, the postal line uses a five-digit CAP before the town, followed by the two-letter province code; retain the full postal information supplied by the recipient when entering the destination, including both the postcode and the province abbreviation. Venice includes localities such as Mestre, Marghera, Murano and Burano; when the recipient uses one of these locality names, retain it as part of the destination rather than reducing their address to the main city name alone.
When the recipient is at Distretto Socio Sanitario del Lido, the destination should be the hospital’s full address, after confirmation that the ward accepts flowers. If you are sending flowers to someone at Istituto Carlo Steeb, first check whether their ward accepts them and enter the hospital’s full delivery address.
If you cannot visit a guest at Danieli, check flower acceptance with the hotel and use the reservation name when ordering. A guest’s reservation name should accompany an order for Hyatt Centric Murano Venice, after you have checked with the hotel that a flower delivery can be accepted. If you are sending to a guest of Hotel Papadopoli, check the hotel’s arrangements for accepting flowers and address the order using the name on the reservation. Danieli is listed at Riva degli Schiavoni 4196; ask the hotel which entrance or reception point should be used when arranging the delivery.
For a delivery to a teacher at Liceo Scientifico "Benedetti" e Linguistico "Tommaseo", write the name in full and add the class or year group where you know it; the office or the caretaker usually takes the delivery in, so the clearer the name, the surer it reaches the right person. Before sending flowers to Liceo Scientifico Statale "Giordano Bruno", name the member of staff in full on the order; if there is no class to point to, the caretaker can hold the delivery until the recipient is free. Sending flowers to someone at Scuola Infanzia Diego Valeri? Say plainly who they are for — the teacher’s full name, and the class if there is one — because whoever signs at the door is rarely the recipient.
If a flower is unavailable, its replacement keeps the style and is of equal or greater value.
You may request a preferred delivery time, but an exact hour is not guaranteed: the request is a preference rather than a booked delivery appointment. Use the order notes to explain any timing request.
You can pay online with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal.
If the recipient is not home, the florist usually contacts them to discuss the delivery; a further delivery attempt may be arranged.
For someone who is travelling, use a hotel, workplace or home address where they will be after arrival, rather than trying to meet them mid-journey; confirm where the recipient will actually be on the intended date before choosing the delivery destination, especially when their plans include a change of hotel or an onward journey.
Before sending to Istituto Ospedaliero Fatebenefratelli, confirm flower acceptance with the ward and enter the hospital’s own delivery address.
If the recipient works at Municipio di Mestre, ask about personal flower deliveries and identify the organisation and their department in the address.
Include the locality name on an order addressed to someone in Catene.
If the delivery address is Rossi, confirm the exact meeting point and arrangements with the venue before ordering a tribute. A tribute addressed to Antico Cimitero ebraico should carry the name of the person it is for and the time of the service: a cemetery covers more ground than a single address.
Before ordering flowers for a celebration at Ristorante Quadri, check that the restaurant can keep them until the party arrives, and give the booking name so staff can match them to the right table.
