You do not need to be in Maiata to order: a local florist prepares and delivers flowers sent from abroad. Think about the person receiving the flowers when making your choice, from their preferred style to whether the gift is personal or sent on behalf of others. At checkout, the order is paid online in your own currency. There is no charge for the accompanying card, which uses your message exactly as supplied. Read the message through before confirming your order, checking personal names and adding the signature you want the recipient to see when they open the card. People locate the town by Simon Bolivar in conversation, but an order is matched to a street and a postcode, so give the full address of the destination.
Select a city to see local florists & same-day delivery options
The local ordering deadline for same-day flowers in Maiata is 18:00. Provide the street, number, postcode and town together with the recipient’s full name and contact telephone number. When the entrance uses a code, add it before completing the order. For a recipient whose address is in Cabeço, keep that place name in the address you enter.
For a guest at Porto Bay Serra Golf, confirm that the hotel accepts flower deliveries and provide the name used for the reservation. If the recipient is staying at Enotel Golf Santa da Serra, ask about flower delivery arrangements and give the name on their reservation. When arranging flowers for Porto Bay Serra Golf, note its listed address, Sítio dos Casais Próximos; ask the hotel which entrance or reception point should be used when arranging the delivery.
Sending flowers to someone at Escola Básica Santo António da Serra? Say plainly who they are for — the teacher’s full name, and the class if there is one — because whoever signs at the door is rarely the recipient. For a delivery to a teacher at Escola Básica do Porto da Cruz, write the name in full and add the class or year group where you know it; the office or the caretaker usually takes the delivery in, so the clearer the name, the surer it reaches the right person. Before sending flowers to Escola EB +1 das Covas, name the member of staff in full on the order; if there is no class to point to, the caretaker can hold the delivery until the recipient is free.
If the service takes place at Capela da Nossa Senhora da Penha de França, the tribute usually goes to the church rather than to the family’s home; confirm the time with whoever is arranging it. When a funeral service is held at Capela das Preces, confirm with the parish where flowers should be delivered and by what time they need to arrive. For a service at Igreja do Porto da Cruz, ask which entrance is used for flowers and how early a tribute should be there.
If a flower is unavailable, its replacement keeps the style and is of equal or greater value.
A preferred delivery time can be requested, but it is not a guaranteed appointment, so an order should not be planned around arrival at an exact hour. If timing matters for the occasion, describe it in the order notes.
You can pay online with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal.
If the recipient is not home, the florist usually contacts them to discuss the delivery; a further delivery attempt may be arranged.
For someone who is travelling, use a hotel, workplace or home address where they will be after arrival, rather than trying to meet them mid-journey; confirm where the recipient will actually be on the intended date before choosing the delivery destination, especially when their plans include a change of hotel or an onward journey.
Before sending to a workplace such as Segurança Social do Faial, check acceptance and include the organisation and department in the address.
When the destination is in Choupana, include the locality rather than leaving it out of the address.
For a table booked at Casa De Chá do Faial, flowers are usually handed over at reception rather than carried to the table, so agree with the restaurant beforehand when and where they should arrive.
The listed gift categories include dried flowers, silk flowers, gift baskets, plants, chocolates, perfumes, wine, champagne, preserved roses, cakes and balloons; check the selected product’s availability when ordering.
