You do not need to be in Kendal to order: a local florist prepares and delivers flowers sent from abroad. Think about the person receiving the flowers when making your choice, from their preferred style to whether the gift is personal or sent on behalf of others. Pay for the flowers online, using your own currency at checkout. The included card carries your personal message word for word, with no additional charge. Take a moment to review the names, spelling and signature before confirming, so the message you submit says what you intended and clearly identifies who it is from. Local landmarks such as Castle Howe are how the town is usually described, though a delivery is routed by street, number and postcode rather than by landmark. Bishop Blaize Inn is one of the places that identify the town; an order still needs the street, number and postcode to reach a door.
Select a city to see local florists & same-day delivery options
The order must be placed before 18:00 local time for same-day flowers in Kendal. Before submitting, include the recipient’s full name and phone number together with the destination’s street, number, postcode and town. Add any required entry code before submitting the order. Keep the locality on the order when the recipient’s address is in Kentrigg.
If you are sending flowers to someone at Westmorland General Hospital, first check whether their ward accepts them and enter the hospital’s full delivery address. For an order addressed to Westmorland General Hospital, the listed location is Burton Road; confirm the appropriate entrance or delivery point with the hospital before using this address for flowers.
A guest’s reservation name should accompany an order for Castle Green Hotel, after you have checked with the hotel that a flower delivery can be accepted. Check with Premier Inn Kendal Central before sending flowers for a guest, and supply the name on the booking. When addressing flowers to a guest at Lakeland Hotel, supply the booking name and confirm acceptance with the hotel. Castle Green Hotel is listed at Castle Green Lane; ask the hotel which entrance or reception point should be used when arranging the delivery.
For a service at Holy Trinity and St George, ask whether the flowers should be there before the family arrives, and where in the church they are placed. For a service at Kendal Parish Church, ask which entrance is used for flowers and how early a tribute should be there. Flowers for a service at St Thomas are usually taken in beforehand; the parish office can say how early the church is able to receive them.
If a flower is unavailable, its replacement keeps the style and is of equal or greater value.
You may request a preferred delivery time, but an exact hour is not guaranteed: the request is a preference rather than a booked delivery appointment. Add timing preferences in the order notes.
You can pay online with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal.
If the recipient is not home, the florist usually contacts them to discuss the delivery; a further delivery attempt may be arranged.
For someone who is travelling, use a hotel, workplace or home address where they will be after arrival, rather than trying to meet them mid-journey; confirm where the recipient will actually be on the intended date before choosing the delivery destination, especially when their plans include a change of hotel or an onward journey.
Ask about personal flower deliveries at Kendal Register Office, then identify the organisation and recipient’s department on the order.
If the delivery address is Co-operative Funeralcare, confirm the exact meeting point and arrangements with the venue before ordering a tribute. If flowers are going to Kendal Parkside Cemetery, check the opening hours for the day of the service and agree a handover point rather than relying on a plot number.
For a table booked at PizzaExpress, flowers are usually handed over at reception rather than carried to the table, so agree with the restaurant beforehand when and where they should arrive.
Other listed options include gift baskets, plants, chocolates, wine, champagne and cakes. Check availability for the product you choose.
Before sending flowers to Kirkbie Kendal School, name the member of staff in full on the order; if there is no class to point to, the caretaker can hold the delivery until the recipient is free.
For a delivery to a teacher at The Queen Katherine School, write the name in full and add the class or year group where you know it; the office or the caretaker usually takes the delivery in, so the clearer the name, the surer it reaches the right person.
