For a recipient in Alford, you can place the order from abroad and have the flowers prepared locally for delivery. Think about the person receiving the flowers when making your choice, from their preferred style to whether the gift is personal or sent on behalf of others. For payment, checkout uses your own currency. Your order includes a card at no extra cost, carrying your message without edits. Read the message through before confirming your order, checking personal names and adding the signature you want the recipient to see when they open the card. Alford War Memorial is one of the places that identify the town; an order still needs the street, number and postcode to reach a door. Local landmarks such as Covenanters Memorial are how the town is usually described, though a delivery is routed by street, number and postcode rather than by landmark.

Provide the street, number, postcode and town together with the recipient’s full name and contact telephone number. When the entrance uses a code, add it before completing the order.
Check that Haughton Arms Hotel can accept flowers for the guest before ordering, using the reservation name to identify them. Haughton Arms Hotel is listed at Main Street; ask the hotel which entrance or reception point should be used when arranging the delivery.
Before sending flowers to Keig School, name the member of staff in full on the order; if there is no class to point to, the caretaker can hold the delivery until the recipient is free. A delivery for Tough School is normally received by the school office or the caretaker rather than by the person it is for, so give the recipient’s full name and, where there is one, the class or department. When several people are giving the flowers together at Tullynessle School, put every name on the card message: it is written exactly as you type it and nobody has to be left out.
For a service at St Andrew's Episcopal Church, ask whether the flowers should be there before the family arrives, and where in the church they are placed. If the service takes place at Howe Trinity Parish Church, the tribute usually goes to the church rather than to the family’s home; confirm the time with whoever is arranging it. For a service at Keig Parish Church, ask which entrance is used for flowers and how early a tribute should be there.
If a flower in the chosen arrangement is unavailable, the florist may use a replacement of equal or greater value while preserving the style of the arrangement.
You may request a preferred delivery time, but an exact hour is not guaranteed: the request is a preference rather than a booked delivery appointment. Add timing preferences in the order notes.
You can pay online with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal.
If the recipient is not home, the florist usually contacts them to discuss the delivery; a further delivery attempt may be arranged.
For someone who is travelling, use a hotel, workplace or home address where they will be after arrival, rather than trying to meet them mid-journey; confirm where the recipient will actually be on the intended date before choosing the delivery destination, especially when their plans include a change of hotel or an onward journey.
If you are planning flowers for a meal at Alford Tandoori Takeaway, ask the restaurant whether it can accept the delivery and give the reservation name and meal date when discussing arrangements; do not assume that flowers can be left on the table before the guests arrive.
