Occasions and Sympathy Flowers in Krakow am See

In Germany, Valentine's Day (Valentinstag) falls on 14 February, with red roses and mixed bouquets associated with the occasion. The date for Mother's Day (Muttertag) is the second Sunday of May, with flowers among the gifts associated with the occasion. Christmas (Weihnachten) has its place in the calendar on 24 and 25 December, with table arrangements, amaryllis and poinsettias associated with the occasion. The celebration of Sunday of the Dead (Totensonntag) falls on the last Sunday before Advent, with flowers used to mark remembrance at graves. In Germany’s gifting customs, red roses can carry a romantic meaning; when choosing flowers for a friend, colleague or host, consider the message you want the gift to convey and use the personal card to make the occasion clear.

If the service takes place at Stadtkirche Krakow, the tribute usually goes to the church rather than to the family’s home; confirm the time with whoever is arranging it. For a service at Allerheiligen, ask whether the flowers should be there before the family arrives, and where in the church they are placed. Looking at German traditions, a funeral wreath or arrangement may carry a Schleife, a printed ribbon naming the mourner; if you want a ribbon, specify the requested wording when discussing the tribute, including the names of those sending it. For a gift that reflects the occasion, chrysanthemums, white lilies and white roses are customary choices for funeral flowers; use the occasion and the family’s preferences to guide the choice of tribute, and check the selected product for the flowers it includes. For a gift that reflects the occasion, a Grabgesteck may be placed on a grave for Totensonntag and, in Catholic states, for Allerheiligen; for a tribute intended for a grave, ask the cemetery about the precise location and its arrangements for accepting flowers.
