Sending Flowers to Schools in Schonau im Schwarzwald

Sending flowers to someone at Gymnasium Schönau? Say plainly who they are for — the teacher’s full name, and the class if there is one — because whoever signs at the door is rarely the recipient. A delivery for Buchenbrandschule is normally received by the school office or the caretaker rather than by the person it is for, so give the recipient’s full name and, where there is one, the class or department.

Occasions and Sympathy Flowers in Schonau im Schwarzwald

In Germany, on 14 February, Valentine's Day (Valentinstag) is celebrated, with red roses and mixed bouquets associated with the occasion. Mother's Day (Muttertag) takes place on the second Sunday of May, with flowers among the gifts associated with the occasion. For Christmas (Weihnachten), the calendar date is 24 and 25 December, with table arrangements, amaryllis and poinsettias associated with the occasion. The calendar marks Sunday of the Dead (Totensonntag) on the last Sunday before Advent, with flowers used to mark remembrance at graves. Within the German tradition, red roses can carry a romantic meaning; when choosing flowers for a friend, colleague or host, consider the message you want the gift to convey and use the personal card to make the occasion clear.

If the service takes place at Evangelische Bergkirche Schönau, the tribute usually goes to the church rather than to the family’s home; confirm the time with whoever is arranging it. For a service at Maria Himmelfahrt, ask which entrance is used for flowers and how early a tribute should be there. As part of German custom, a funeral wreath or arrangement may carry a Schleife, a printed ribbon naming the mourner; if you want a ribbon, specify the requested wording when discussing the tribute, including the names of those sending it. For someone choosing flowers, chrysanthemums, white lilies and white roses are customary choices for funeral flowers; use the occasion and the family’s preferences to guide the choice of tribute, and check the selected product for the flowers it includes. A Grabgesteck may be placed on a grave for Totensonntag and, in Catholic states, for Allerheiligen; for a tribute intended for a grave, ask the cemetery about the precise location and its arrangements for accepting flowers.
