Sending Flowers to Schools in Bad Durrenberg

Before sending flowers to Johann-Gottfried-Borlach Gemeinschaftsschule Bad Dürrenberg, name the member of staff in full on the order; if there is no class to point to, the caretaker can hold the delivery until the recipient is free. A delivery for Johann-Gottfried-Borlach Sekundarschule is normally received by the school office or the caretaker rather than by the person it is for, so give the recipient’s full name and, where there is one, the class or department. When several people are giving the flowers together at Friedrich-Engels-Schule, put every name on the card message: it is written exactly as you type it and nobody has to be left out.

In Germany, the celebration of Valentine's Day (Valentinstag) falls on 14 February, with red roses and mixed bouquets associated with the occasion. On the second Sunday of May, Mother's Day (Muttertag) is celebrated, with flowers among the gifts associated with the occasion. Christmas (Weihnachten) falls on 24 and 25 December, with table arrangements, amaryllis and poinsettias associated with the occasion. For Sunday of the Dead (Totensonntag), the calendar date is the last Sunday before Advent, with flowers used to mark remembrance at graves. For German gift-giving, red roses can carry a romantic meaning; when choosing flowers for a friend, colleague or host, consider the message you want the gift to convey and use the personal card to make the occasion clear.

Flowers for a service at St. Bonifatius are usually taken in beforehand; the parish office can say how early the church is able to receive them. For a service at St. Laurentius, ask which entrance is used for flowers and how early a tribute should be there. When a funeral service is held at St. Katharina, confirm with the parish where flowers should be delivered and by what time they need to arrive. Across Germany, a funeral wreath or arrangement may carry a Schleife, a printed ribbon naming the mourner; if you want a ribbon, specify the requested wording when discussing the tribute, including the names of those sending it. As a guide to the choice of flowers, chrysanthemums, white lilies and white roses are customary choices for funeral flowers; use the occasion and the family’s preferences to guide the choice of tribute, and check the selected product for the flowers it includes. When discussing the flowers, a Grabgesteck may be placed on a grave for Totensonntag and, in Catholic states, for Allerheiligen; for a tribute intended for a grave, ask the cemetery about the precise location and its arrangements for accepting flowers.
