Same Day Delivery
Order before 14:00 local time and flowers can reach a doorstep in the Democratic Republic of the Congo the same day, any day from Monday to Saturday. The morning after an evening that meant something is exactly when a bouquet does the talking, and it can be there before the day is out. Ordering from another country takes a few minutes online, and a local florist handles the delivery — you order and pay securely in your own currency. A card message comes with every order at no extra cost, printed word for word.
That evening deserves its follow-up before it cools: choose from over 100 flower arrangements and set the delivery date at checkout.

Arrangements are made with what is freshest that day, and that is the one thing that can shift between the design you picked and the bouquet at the door. If a flower is not available, the florist substitutes one of equal or greater value in a matching style. You keep the value you paid for and the shape you chose; only the single stem moves. It is a small licence, and it is what lets a florist send out something fresh on a day when a particular flower simply did not come in.
There is no postcode system here. Addresses commonly run on a P.O. Box — a Boîte Postale — together with the city, written as B.P. 1234, Kinshasa. Give the complete address: the street where the recipient lives and the B.P. number with the city, plus a phone number for the recipient. That number does real work, since florists use it to confirm availability and the exact address before they set out. Apartment deliveries often need a door code, so add it at checkout when you have one.
Flowers are the point here, and gift baskets, plants or chocolates can be added to the same order when a bouquet on its own is not the whole gesture. What the florists build from is largely imported: commercial cut-flower growing is limited, so most florist stock in cities like Kinshasa comes in year-round rather than following a strong local growing season. In practice, roses, gladioli, chrysanthemums and carnations are the flowers you are most likely to be choosing between, and they are not tied to one short window in the calendar.
What is grown commercially tends to come from the outskirts of Kinshasa — Kimwenza and Mont Ngafula — and from Kongo Central, where roses, gladioli and anthuriums are among the cut flowers raised. The bouquets built from them are simple and colourful: hand-tied, mixing tropical foliage such as palm fronds and ferns with imported blooms, and wrapped in cellophane or paper. Flowers are also a usual gesture for a hospital or get-well visit, which is worth knowing if the person you are sending to is recovering.
Valentine's Day, on February 14, is the peak day for flowers between partners. It is the exception to the usual schedule — florists open for the big flower days, so your order can arrive even when the date falls on a Sunday; around Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, order at least 48 hours ahead. On International Women's Day, March 8, flowers are commonly given to women. All Saints' Day, on November 1, is a quieter date: flowers are placed on graves in remembrance, and when you cannot stand at the graveside yourself, an arrangement carries your name there. Christmas Day, on December 25, brings flowers into homes and churches as part of the holiday.
Someone mid-journey — at an airport, a railway station or a cruise terminal — is almost impossible to reach with a delivery. Send to their hotel, office or home address instead, timed for after they arrive. And if the door goes unanswered, the florist will typically call the recipient or arrange a redelivery, so an empty house at two in the afternoon does not undo the order.
Yes — order before 14:00 local time and your flowers can be delivered the same day. Orders placed after the cutoff are delivered on the next available day you choose at checkout.
Acceptance depends on the hospital and ward, so check before ordering; otherwise delivery goes to reception. Use the hospital's own city and full address, with the patient's full name and, where possible, the ward or room.
Yes. Reception will ask for the reservation name and room number, so include the guest's full name and, if you can, their arrival date or booking reference.
Yes — include the company name and, if you know it, the floor or department, and the delivery goes to reception. Choose a day the recipient is in, within office hours.
Yes. Include the resident's full name and, where possible, the floor or unit. It is worth checking the residence accepts flower deliveries; reception will usually pass them on.
You can request a preferred time slot, but exact times cannot be guaranteed, since deliveries follow the local florist's routes and workload for the day. The date you select at checkout is honoured.
Wreaths and formal funeral pieces need 24–48 hours' notice. White flowers and wreaths are the customary forms, so allow that margin and the florist has time to build the piece.
