Same Day Delivery
Order before 14:00 and the flowers can be delivered the same day, Monday to Saturday, by a florist working close to the address you give. The morning after a first date is a narrow window and a real one, and flower delivery in Belgium takes only a few minutes online: you choose the bouquet, and it is made up and carried to the door at the other end. Checkout is in your own currency, paid securely online, so the amount you agree to is the amount you settle.
Browse the arrangements, pick the delivery date you want, and order before this afternoon's cutoff to have flowers standing at their door today.
Select a city to see local florists & same-day delivery options
Give the complete address: street and number, postcode and town, plus a phone number for the recipient. The phone number is not a formality — florists use it to confirm availability and the exact address before they set out, and it is the difference between a delivery and a second attempt. Apartments often need a door code, so add that at checkout too, where it costs nothing extra.
Over 600 gifts are ready to send, and fresh bouquets are only the start of them: dried flowers, silk flowers, preserved roses, plants, gift baskets and cakes all sit in the same catalogue. Over 60 boxes of chocolates and over 70 wines are there for the orders that want something more than stems, with champagne and perfumes alongside. Cut flowers arrive year-round through the Dutch auctions, so the seasons that really show are the spring bulb flowers and the autumn chrysanthemum run. Choose the bouquet, then add the box that goes with it.
Craft-led and architectural. The house style runs to tightly composed structural designs in muted natural palettes, spiral hand-tied and wrapped in kraft or textured paper, often finished with a water pouch on the stems so they travel wet. Chrysanthemums and gerberas are grown commercially in East Flanders around Ghent and Lochristi, the centre of ornamental growing, and in the Waasland, while florists buy at Euroveiling near Brussels and at the Royal FloraHolland auctions across the border. On the giving side, a bouquet is standard when you are invited to dinner, alongside or instead of wine; red roses stay romantic while friends and colleagues get mixed seasonal bouquets; a flowering pot plant counts as a normal gift, not a lesser one; and stems are counted odd, with thirteen avoided.
Mother's Day (Moederdag / Fête des Mères) and Valentine's Day (Valentijn / Saint-Valentin) are the exception to the usual schedule: florists open for the big flower days, so your order can arrive even when the date falls on a Sunday. For Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, order at least 48 hours ahead. All Saints' Day (Allerheiligen / Toussaint) on 1 November is the heaviest flower-buying day of the year, when chrysanthemums go to family graves; they are not a flower for the living. Saying goodbye from far away, wreaths and coffin sprays sent to the funeral home are the conventional form, in a white palette, with a ribbon naming the sender; they need 24–48 hours' notice. Where a death notice asks for no flowers and names a charity, respect it.
Someone mid-journey is almost impossible to reach. An airport, a railway station or a cruise terminal keeps them moving, so send to their hotel, office or home address instead, timed for after they arrive. If the recipient is out when the florist calls at the door, they will usually phone them or arrange a redelivery. And if a particular flower is not in that morning, the florist swaps it for one of equal or greater value that keeps the same look.
Sending from another country changes nothing at your end: you order online, and the arrangement is made and delivered locally. A card message comes with every order at no extra cost, printed word for word, which is the part worth slowing down for. Write it the way you would say it rather than the way you think a card should sound, choose the delivery date, and the local end takes over from there.
