Addresses in Cambodia run a five-digit postcode — for example, 12000 for Phnom Penh. Put it on the order along with the street and number, and add the recipient's local phone number as well: florists use it to confirm availability and the exact address before they set off. For an apartment, the door code is often the difference between flowers that reach the room and flowers that wait downstairs, so type it in at checkout. Street, postcode, phone, door code.
There are over 100 bouquets to choose from, and what fills them shifts through the year. Lotus, jasmine, marigold and orchids are grown in the country, with cut-flower growing concentrated around Kampong Speu, Kandal and Siem Reap. Lotus and jasmine tend to be harvested year-round in the wetter Mekong and Tonle Sap lowlands, volumes peaking in the rainy season from roughly June to October, while many higher-end cut flowers such as roses and orchids are imported from Vietnam and Thailand throughout the year. Banana leaf, palm leaf and ruscus are the greenery usually worked around them.
Two habits sit side by side. Lotus flowers and buds tend to be offered at pagodas and during religious ceremonies more than given as a personal gift, and they are sold loose, in buds and garlands, for exactly that; Western-style bouquet gifting for birthdays, romance and shop openings has meanwhile become common in urban centres such as Phnom Penh, hand-tied and wrapped in cellophane or paper. Wholesale flowers move through Deum Kor Market and Orussey Market. When you are saying goodbye from a distance, white flowers — chrysanthemums and lotus especially — are the customary choice, often presented alongside incense as part of a Buddhist funeral offering, and wreaths and formal pieces need 24–48 hours' notice.
Khmer New Year, in mid-April and typically 13-16 April, fills homes and pagodas with fresh flowers, lotus and jasmine above all. Pchum Ben (Ancestors' Day) runs as a 15-day period ending on the 15th day of the 10th month of the Khmer lunar calendar, usually September or October, when flowers and lotus buds are brought to pagodas as offerings to ancestors. The wedding season, concentrated in the cooler dry months from roughly November to February, is the year's peak demand for bouquets, garlands and floral decor. Valentine's Day on 14 February and Mother's Day are the exception to the usual week: florists open for the big flower days, so your order can arrive even when the date falls on a Sunday. Order at least 48 hours ahead.
Someone mid-journey — at an airport, a railway station, a cruise terminal — is almost impossible to reach with a delivery. Send to their hotel, office or home address instead, timed for after they arrive. If nobody is in when the florist calls, they will usually phone the recipient or arrange a redelivery. And because arrangements are made with what is freshest, a flower that is not available on the day is substituted for one of equal or greater value in a matching style, so the bouquet keeps the shape you chose rather than arriving short.
Yes — order before 17:00 local time and your flowers can be delivered the same day. Orders placed after the cutoff are delivered on the next available day you choose at checkout.
You can request a preferred time slot, but exact times cannot be guaranteed — deliveries follow the local florist's routes and workload for the day. The delivery date you select at checkout is honoured; the calendar only offers available dates.
