Flower Delivery in Cuba — Flowers, Gift Baskets, Plants and Chocolates

Order before 12:00 local time and the flowers can be in their hands the same day, with deliveries running Monday to Saturday. A new job, a graduation, an exam finally passed — a win is best marked on the day it happens, while everyone is still talking about it, and flower delivery to Cuba can move that quickly as long as the morning is still young. Every order includes a free card message, printed exactly as you write it, so the congratulations arrive in your words rather than in ours.

Browse over 100 arrangements, choose the one that suits them, and pick the delivery date at checkout — the florist near them takes it from there.

More About Flowers Delivery in Cuba

The delivery calendar, and what it can promise

The date is the part you control. The checkout calendar shows only the dates that are genuinely available, and the one you select is the one the florist works to, so a birthday can be set weeks ahead and left alone. Time of day is a different matter. A preferred slot can be requested, but exact hours are not guaranteed, because deliveries follow each florist's route and workload for the day, not a fixed timetable.

How to write an address a florist can work with

Three details do most of the work. Addresses in Cuba typically carry a five-digit postcode — for example, 10400 in Havana — and it goes into the order with the street and number. The recipient's local phone number matters just as much: florists use it to confirm availability and to pin down the exact address before they set out. An apartment usually needs a door code too, and that belongs at checkout, where it takes one line and costs nothing.

Beyond a bouquet: baskets, plants and chocolates

Some occasions call for something to unwrap instead of something to put in water. Gift baskets, plants, chocolates and balloons are ordered exactly the way flowers are, on the same delivery date you choose, so the decision is only ever about the person receiving it. If a bouquet is not quite the message, one of the others will be: a plant for someone who likes to keep things growing, chocolates for a table that gets shared. Add whichever fits before you check out.

Which flowers you will actually find in season

Supply here follows the weather. Field-grown flowers appear to be most abundant in the cooler dry season, roughly November to April, and to tighten through the hot, rainy summer months. The growing sits around Alquízar in Artemisa province, Güira de Melena and San Antonio de los Baños, and gladiolus, chrysanthemums, roses, gerbera and carnations are the stems that tend to come out of them. Arrangements are usually simple and tightly bunched, shaped by the stem variety on hand, hand-tied and wrapped in cellophane or paper cones, with asparagus fern or palm leaves for greenery.

Mother's Day, Valentine's Day and Women's Day

Mother's Day (Día de las Madres), the second Sunday of May, is by most accounts the year's biggest flower-buying occasion. Valentine's Day (Día de San Valentín / Día de los Enamorados), February 14, is the other one, with roses — red especially — exchanged between couples. Both are the exception to the usual schedule: florists open for the big flower days, so your order can arrive even when the date falls on a Sunday. Order at least 48 hours ahead. International Women's Day (Día Internacional de la Mujer) on March 8 brings its own round of flowers for women, and All Souls' Day (Día de los Difuntos) on November 2 takes them to the graves. At Christmas (Navidad), on December 25, seasonal arrangements go to homes and are given as gifts.

What to do when they are not at the address

Some deliveries need a different address altogether. Someone mid-journey — at an airport, a railway station, a cruise terminal — is almost impossible to reach, so send to their hotel, office or home instead, timed for after they arrive. At a home address where nobody answers, the florist will typically telephone the recipient or arrange a redelivery. And what goes in the wrapping is decided that morning: arrangements are made with what is freshest, and a flower that is not available is substituted for one of equal or greater value in a matching style.

Ordering from outside Cuba, paid in your own currency

Sending from another country changes nothing at your end. You pay in the currency you hold, the order is placed and settled online, and the arrangement is made and delivered locally. Your family is back home while you are not, and the occasions there do not wait for your next visit — this is how you get to the table without the flight.

Customer Questions

Flowers Delivery to Cuba — FAQs

Can I get same-day flower delivery in Cuba?

Yes — order before 12:00 local time and your flowers can be delivered the same day. Orders placed after the cutoff are delivered on the next available day you choose at checkout.

Can you deliver flowers to a hospital?

Acceptance depends on the hospital and ward — check before ordering; otherwise delivery goes to reception. Use the hospital's own city and full address, with the patient's full name and, where possible, the ward or room.

Can flowers be delivered to a hotel guest?

Yes. Include the guest's full name and, if you can, their arrival date or booking reference so reception can match the delivery to the right guest.

Can I send flowers to someone's workplace?

Yes — include the company name and, if you know it, the floor or department, and the delivery goes to reception. It is best arriving within office hours, so choose a day the recipient is in.

Can flowers go to a care residence?

Yes. Include the resident's full name and, where possible, the floor or unit. It is worth checking the residence accepts flower deliveries; reception will usually pass them on.

How much notice do funeral flowers need?

Wreaths and formal funeral pieces need 24–48 hours' notice. Wreaths are customary at wakes and gravesites, and white flowers such as gladiolus and chrysanthemums are the usual choice.
