Same Day Delivery
Order before 14:00 local time and your flowers can be at the door the same day, with florists delivering Monday to Saturday for every date after that. A new job, a graduation, an exam passed — a win like that is worth marking on the day it happens, not the week after. Sending flowers to East Timor is done online in a few minutes, and you pay in the currency you hold, the order placed and settled in one step rather than in two.
Pick the arrangement you want this morning, and a local florist can carry it from the shop to their door before the day is out.
What happens if a flower is out, or nobody is in Bouquets follow the freshest stems of the day, so the shop builds from what actually came in that morning. If a flower is unavailable, it is replaced with one of equal or greater value in the same style, which holds the arrangement you chose together without anyone having to phone you halfway through the round. And if the recipient isn't home when the driver knocks, the florist will usually call them or arrange a redelivery, so an empty house on a weekday afternoon is not normally the end of the delivery.
“The bouquet was even more beautiful than the photo. Arrived fresh, perfectly wrapped and exactly on time. My recipient was absolutely delighted. Highest recommendation.”
“Needed flowers delivered the same day — Internet Florist delivered perfectly. The arrangement was gorgeous and the packaging was premium quality. Will order again!”
“Used Internet Florist three times now. Every single order has been fresh, beautifully arranged and on time. Genuinely the best online florist I have found anywhere.”
There is no postcode system here. Addresses run on district and suco — the village name — with a PO box often standing in for a street line, in Dili as elsewhere. Give the complete address: the district and the suco, the PO box or street description, plus a phone number for the recipient. Florists use that number to confirm availability and settle the exact address before they set out, which counts for more where there is no code to fall back on. Apartment deliveries often need a door code as well — add it at checkout, at no cost.
There are over 100 gifts to send, flowers chief among them: hand-tied bunches wrapped in paper or cellophane, built around orchids, hibiscus, bougainvillea and frangipani, with roses among them. Potted plants, gift baskets and boxed chocolates cover the occasions a bouquet on its own does not. Local supply follows the rain. Flowering ornamentals are most abundant during the wet season, roughly November to April, while the dry-season months see thinner local supply and a shorter list of what the shop can build from. Choose the gift first, then the date you want it there.
Arrangements tend to be simple and informal, built around tropical blooms and foliage, with banana leaf, palm fronds and ferns among the greenery, and a good deal of the trade is loose stems sold by roadside and market vendors. Flowers are tied closely to church life: they are brought to services and processions around the major feast days, and they are usual at weddings and baptisms. At funerals and wakes, white flowers and simple wreaths are the common choice, and flowers with candles are taken to graves. When you are saying goodbye from another country, an arrangement at the service stands in for you.
All Souls' Day on November 2 is when graves are visited and decorated with flowers and candles. The Feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8 is marked with flower offerings at church and at home; Christmas on December 25 sees homes and churches decorated and flowers exchanged as gifts; and Easter — movable, following the Western Christian calendar in March or April — brings church flowers through Holy Week and Easter Sunday. Valentine's Day on February 14 is a date for couples. Mother's Day and Valentine's Day are the exception to the usual schedule: florists open for the big flower days, so your order can arrive even when the date falls on a Sunday. Order at least 48 hours ahead.
Not at your end. You order online, and the arrangement is made and delivered locally, so the distance between you and the recipient never becomes the recipient's problem. Every order also includes a free card message, printed exactly as you write it and at no extra cost, which is the part of the gift that is unmistakably yours and not the florist's. Write the message the way you would say it out loud, and send it.
Yes — order before 14:00 local time and your flowers can be delivered the same day. Orders placed after the cutoff are delivered on the next available day you choose at checkout.
Yes. You can pick any future delivery date at checkout, which is the safest option around busy periods, and the calendar only offers dates that are genuinely available.
Yes. Include the guest's full name and, if you can, their arrival date or booking reference, so reception can match the delivery to the right guest. Someone still mid-journey is almost impossible to reach, so time it for after they check in.
Yes — include the company name and, if you know it, the floor or department, and the delivery goes to reception. Aim for office hours and a day you know the recipient is in.
Acceptance depends on the hospital and ward, so check before ordering; otherwise delivery goes to reception. Use the hospital's own city and full address, with the patient's full name and, where possible, the ward or room.
You can request a preferred time slot, but exact times cannot be guaranteed, since deliveries follow the local florist's routes and workload for the day. The date you select at checkout is honoured.
Wreaths and formal funeral pieces need 24–48 hours' notice. Ordering with that margin gives the florist time to build the piece and get it where it needs to be.
