You do not need to be in Asmera to order: a local florist prepares and delivers flowers sent from abroad. Think about the person receiving the flowers when making your choice, from their preferred style to whether the gift is personal or sent on behalf of others. Place your order online and pay in your own currency. The included card carries your personal message word for word, with no additional charge. Take a moment to review the names, spelling and signature before confirming, so the message you submit says what you intended and clearly identifies who it is from. Local landmarks such as Pushkin Monument are how the town is usually described, though a delivery is routed by street, number and postcode rather than by landmark. People locate the town by San Francisco in conversation, but an order is matched to a street and a postcode, so give the full address of the destination.
Select a city to see local florists & same-day delivery options
The same-day ordering cutoff in Asmera is 14:00, local time. Enter the complete street address, postcode and town for the recipient, with their full name and a telephone number for contact. If the building requires an access code, provide it when placing the order.
If you are sending flowers to someone at Godaif Community Hospital, first check whether their ward accepts them and enter the hospital’s full delivery address. When the recipient is at Halibet Referral Hospital, the destination should be the hospital’s full address, after confirmation that the ward accepts flowers.
Check that Asmara Star Hotel can accept flowers for the guest before ordering, using the reservation name to identify them. A guest’s reservation name should accompany an order for Pension Luna, after you have checked with the hotel that a flower delivery can be accepted. If the recipient is staying at Senafe Hotel, ask about flower delivery arrangements and give the name on their reservation. The address for Asmara Star Hotel is given as Sawa Street; ask the hotel which entrance or reception point should be used when arranging the delivery.
Sending flowers to someone at Diaa Islamic School? Say plainly who they are for — the teacher’s full name, and the class if there is one — because whoever signs at the door is rarely the recipient. When several people are giving the flowers together at G. Marconi I.I.S di Asmars, put every name on the card message: it is written exactly as you type it and nobody has to be left out.
If a flower is unavailable, its replacement keeps the style and is of equal or greater value.
You may request a preferred delivery time, but an exact hour is not guaranteed: the request is a preference rather than a booked delivery appointment. Use the order notes to explain any timing request.
You can pay online with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal.
If the recipient is not home, the florist usually contacts them to discuss the delivery; a further delivery attempt may be arranged.
For someone who is travelling, use a hotel, workplace or home address where they will be after arrival, rather than trying to meet them mid-journey; confirm where the recipient will actually be on the intended date before choosing the delivery destination, especially when their plans include a change of hotel or an onward journey.
Use the hospital’s full address for E-Nile, and ask the relevant ward whether flowers may be delivered.
Ask about personal flower deliveries at Office of the Auditor General (OAG), then identify the organisation and recipient’s department on the order.
A tribute addressed to Asmara War Cemetery should carry the name of the person it is for and the time of the service: a cemetery covers more ground than a single address.
A delivery timed for a meal at Sham Restaurant and Bar needs the reservation name and the sitting; ask whether an earlier drop-off suits the restaurant better than one during service.
Other listed options include gift baskets, plants and chocolates. Check availability for the product you choose.
When a funeral service is held at St Mariam, confirm with the parish where flowers should be delivered and by what time they need to arrive.
