Same Day Delivery
Your family is back home in the Faroe Islands and the occasions do not wait for your next visit: order before 14:00 and the flowers can be at their door the same day, made up by a florist a few streets from them. You pay in the currency you hold, with the order placed and settled online, and a card message comes with every order at no extra cost, printed word for word, so the words waiting on the table are yours.
The visit is still months off, the birthday is not: choose from over 100 arrangements, set the delivery date at checkout, and the florist makes it up on the morning it goes out.

Florists take deliveries out Monday to Saturday, which leaves most of the week open to you and makes a weekday morning as workable as a Saturday one. The date you pick at checkout is the date the shop works to, so an order placed three weeks before an anniversary sits in the queue until that morning. Arrangements are made with what's freshest; if a flower isn't available, the florist substitutes one of equal or greater value in a matching style, so what is handed over keeps the shape and the colour you chose.
Addresses in the Faroe Islands run to a three-digit code prefixed FO- - for example, FO-100 Tórshavn. Write it in full, with the street and number as the recipient gives them, and add their local phone number: florists use it to confirm availability and the exact address before they set out. Apartment deliveries often need a door code, which belongs at checkout with everything else - typed in once, no extra charge for the trouble.
Virtually all cut flowers here are imported year-round via Denmark, since the harsh North Atlantic climate and a short growing season rule out commercial local cultivation. What that produces is Scandinavian in feel: simple arrangements built around imported blooms, roses, tulips, lilies, carnations and chrysanthemums among them, greened with eucalyptus, fern and ruscus, hand-tied and wrapped in paper. Gift baskets, plants and chocolates can go in the same order. A new baby in the family is a question of timing rather than size: send flowers for the parents on a day they are home to enjoy them. For a funeral, white flowers and wreaths, kransar, are the conventional choice in the Nordic tradition.
Mother's Day, the second Sunday of May, and Valentine's Day are the exception to the usual schedule: florists open for the big flower days, so your order can arrive even when the date falls on a Sunday. Order at least 48 hours ahead. Christmas (Jól), from 24 to 26 December, is when poinsettias, amaryllis and wreaths are bought for the house, and Easter, on the Sunday of the Western observance, brings spring flowers into homes and churches. The national holiday on 29 July, with celebrations from 28 July, fills Tórshavn with decoration and flowers. Bouquets are usually given in odd numbers, following Nordic and Danish custom.
Someone mid-journey - at an airport or a cruise terminal - is almost impossible to reach with a delivery, so send to their hotel, office or home address instead, timed for after they arrive. A workplace order should land within office hours, so choose a day the recipient is in. And if nobody is home when the driver knocks, the florist will typically call the recipient or arrange a redelivery. Wreaths and formal funeral pieces are the one order to plan further ahead: they need 24–48 hours' notice.
Yes - order before 14:00 local time and your flowers can be delivered the same day. Orders placed after the cutoff are delivered on the next available day you choose at checkout.
Yes. Ordering from another country takes a few minutes online, and a local florist handles the delivery, so nothing has to be arranged at your end.
Acceptance depends on the hospital and ward - check before ordering; otherwise delivery goes to reception. Use the hospital's own city and full address, with the patient's full name and, where possible, the ward or room.
Yes. Reception will ask for the reservation name and room number, so include the guest's full name and, if you can, their arrival date or booking reference.
Yes. Include the resident's full name and, where possible, the floor or unit. It is worth checking the residence accepts flower deliveries; reception will usually pass them on.
You can request a preferred time slot, but exact times cannot be guaranteed - deliveries follow the local florist's routes and workload for the day. The delivery date you select at checkout is honoured.
