Occasions and Sympathy Flowers in Eggstatt

In Germany, the celebration of Valentine's Day (Valentinstag) falls on 14 February, with red roses and mixed bouquets associated with the occasion. Mother's Day (Muttertag) comes on the second Sunday of May, with flowers among the gifts associated with the occasion. Christmas (Weihnachten) has its place in the calendar on 24 and 25 December, with table arrangements, amaryllis and poinsettias associated with the occasion. Sunday of the Dead (Totensonntag) falls on the last Sunday before Advent, with flowers used to mark remembrance at graves. In German practice, red roses can carry a romantic meaning; when choosing flowers for a friend, colleague or host, consider the message you want the gift to convey and use the personal card to make the occasion clear.

For a service at St. Georg, ask whether the flowers should be there before the family arrives, and where in the church they are placed. When a funeral service is held at Kapelle St. Maria, confirm with the parish where flowers should be delivered and by what time they need to arrive. For a service at Eichenkapelle, ask which entrance is used for flowers and how early a tribute should be there. In Germany, a funeral wreath or arrangement may carry a Schleife, a printed ribbon naming the mourner; if you want a ribbon, specify the requested wording when discussing the tribute, including the names of those sending it. In practical terms, chrysanthemums, white lilies and white roses are customary choices for funeral flowers; use the occasion and the family’s preferences to guide the choice of tribute, and check the selected product for the flowers it includes. A Grabgesteck may be placed on a grave for Totensonntag and, in Catholic states, for Allerheiligen; for a tribute intended for a grave, ask the cemetery about the precise location and its arrangements for accepting flowers.
