Sending Flowers to Schools in Mohnesee

For a delivery to a teacher at Möhneseeschule, write the name in full and add the class or year group where you know it; the office or the caretaker usually takes the delivery in, so the clearer the name, the surer it reaches the right person. A delivery for Alte Schule in Hewingsen is normally received by the school office or the caretaker rather than by the person it is for, so give the recipient’s full name and, where there is one, the class or department. When several people are giving the flowers together at Heidberg-Grundschule, put every name on the card message: it is written exactly as you type it and nobody has to be left out.

Occasions and Sympathy Flowers in Mohnesee

In Germany, the celebration of Valentine's Day (Valentinstag) falls on 14 February, with red roses and mixed bouquets associated with the occasion. Mother's Day (Muttertag) is marked on the second Sunday of May, with flowers among the gifts associated with the occasion. Christmas (Weihnachten) takes place on 24 and 25 December, with table arrangements, amaryllis and poinsettias associated with the occasion. Sunday of the Dead (Totensonntag) comes on the last Sunday before Advent, with flowers used to mark remembrance at graves. In German practice, red roses can carry a romantic meaning; when choosing flowers for a friend, colleague or host, consider the message you want the gift to convey and use the personal card to make the occasion clear.

For a service at Drüggelter Kapelle, ask whether the flowers should be there before the family arrives, and where in the church they are placed. Flowers for a service at Sankt Pankratius are usually taken in beforehand; the parish office can say how early the church is able to receive them. If the service takes place at St. Antonius Kirche, the tribute usually goes to the church rather than to the family’s home; confirm the time with whoever is arranging it. Within the German tradition, a funeral wreath or arrangement may carry a Schleife, a printed ribbon naming the mourner; if you want a ribbon, specify the requested wording when discussing the tribute, including the names of those sending it. In choosing the arrangement, chrysanthemums, white lilies and white roses are customary choices for funeral flowers; use the occasion and the family’s preferences to guide the choice of tribute, and check the selected product for the flowers it includes. A Grabgesteck may be placed on a grave for Totensonntag and, in Catholic states, for Allerheiligen; for a tribute intended for a grave, ask the cemetery about the precise location and its arrangements for accepting flowers.
