Ordering from abroad? A local florist prepares and delivers your flowers in Rietberg. Choose the flowers with the recipient in mind, thinking about their personal tastes and the tone you want the gift to convey when it arrives. Pay for the flowers online, using your own currency at checkout. Write your message for the included card, free of charge and without changes to your wording. Check the wording and names before submitting the order, and include your signature or the names of the people sending the gift so the sender is clear.

For the delivery address, provide the recipient’s full name and telephone number along with the street, house number, postcode and town. Where access depends on a door code, include that code in the order details. In Germany’s postal address format, the postcode has five digits and comes before the town name; copy both from the recipient’s address and keep the street and building number with the delivery details.
Use the reservation name for a delivery addressed to Hotel Gasthof Zur Post, after checking that the hotel can accept flowers. The address given for Hotel Gasthof Zur Post is Bahnhofstraße 5; ask the hotel which entrance or reception point should be used when arranging the delivery.
In Germany’s gifting customs, a funeral wreath or arrangement may carry a Schleife, a printed ribbon naming the mourner; if you want a ribbon, specify the requested wording when discussing the tribute, including the names of those sending it. In choosing the arrangement, chrysanthemums, white lilies and white roses are customary choices for funeral flowers; use the occasion and the family’s preferences to guide the choice of tribute, and check the selected product for the flowers it includes. For the choice of flowers, a Grabgesteck may be placed on a grave for Totensonntag and, in Catholic states, for Allerheiligen; for a tribute intended for a grave, ask the cemetery about the precise location and its arrangements for accepting flowers.
In Germany, Valentine's Day (Valentinstag) takes place on 14 February, with red roses and mixed bouquets associated with the occasion. For those marking Mother's Day (Muttertag), the date is the second Sunday of May, with flowers among the gifts associated with the occasion. On 24 and 25 December, Christmas (Weihnachten) is celebrated, with table arrangements, amaryllis and poinsettias associated with the occasion. For Sunday of the Dead (Totensonntag), the calendar date is the last Sunday before Advent, with flowers used to mark remembrance at graves. Looking at German traditions, red roses can carry a romantic meaning; when choosing flowers for a friend, colleague or host, consider the message you want the gift to convey and use the personal card to make the occasion clear.
If a flower is unavailable, its replacement keeps the style and is of equal or greater value.
A preferred delivery time can be requested, but it is not a guaranteed appointment, so an order should not be planned around arrival at an exact hour. Add timing preferences in the order notes.
You can pay online with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal.
For someone who is travelling, use a hotel, workplace or home address where they will be after arrival, rather than trying to meet them mid-journey; confirm where the recipient will actually be on the intended date before choosing the delivery destination, especially when their plans include a change of hotel or an onward journey.
For a recipient at Bürgerbüro Rietberg, include the organisation’s name and any floor or department, and check whether personal deliveries are accepted.
Before ordering a tribute for delivery to Bestattungshaus Peters, ask the venue to confirm the address and handover arrangements.
If you are planning flowers for a meal at Osteria Pomodoro, ask the restaurant whether it can accept the delivery and give the reservation name and meal date when discussing arrangements; do not assume that flowers can be left on the table before the guests arrive.
You can also browse dried flowers, silk flowers, gift baskets, plants, chocolates, perfumes, wine, champagne, preserved roses and cakes, subject to the availability of your chosen product.
