Funeral and Sympathy Flowers in Strassberg

Flowers for a service at Allerheiligenkirche are usually taken in beforehand; the parish office can say how early the church is able to receive them. For a service at Pfarrkirche St. Verena, ask whether the flowers should be there before the family arrives, and where in the church they are placed. When a funeral service is held at Evangelische Kirche, confirm with the parish where flowers should be delivered and by what time they need to arrive.

In German practice, a funeral wreath or arrangement may carry a Schleife, a printed ribbon naming the mourner; if you want a ribbon, specify the requested wording when discussing the tribute, including the names of those sending it. For someone choosing flowers, chrysanthemums, white lilies and white roses are customary choices for funeral flowers; use the occasion and the family’s preferences to guide the choice of tribute, and check the selected product for the flowers it includes. For this kind of gift, a Grabgesteck may be placed on a grave for Totensonntag and, in Catholic states, for Allerheiligen; for a tribute intended for a grave, ask the cemetery about the precise location and its arrangements for accepting flowers.
