In the German address format, the postcode has five digits and comes before the town name; copy both from the recipient’s address and keep the street and building number with the delivery details.

Sending Flowers to Schools in Weidenberg

Sending flowers to someone at Karl-Gebhardt-Schule? Say plainly who they are for — the teacher’s full name, and the class if there is one — because whoever signs at the door is rarely the recipient. A delivery for Verbandsschule Weidenberg is normally received by the school office or the caretaker rather than by the person it is for, so give the recipient’s full name and, where there is one, the class or department. Before sending flowers to Grund- und Mittelschule Weidenberg, name the member of staff in full on the order; if there is no class to point to, the caretaker can hold the delivery until the recipient is free.

Funeral and Sympathy Flowers in Weidenberg

If the service takes place at St. Laurentius, the tribute usually goes to the church rather than to the family’s home; confirm the time with whoever is arranging it. Flowers for a service at St.-Michaels-Kirche are usually taken in beforehand; the parish office can say how early the church is able to receive them. When a funeral service is held at St. Michael, confirm with the parish where flowers should be delivered and by what time they need to arrive.

In German gifting traditions, a funeral wreath or arrangement may carry a Schleife, a printed ribbon naming the mourner; if you want a ribbon, specify the requested wording when discussing the tribute, including the names of those sending it. When considering an arrangement, chrysanthemums, white lilies and white roses are customary choices for funeral flowers; use the occasion and the family’s preferences to guide the choice of tribute, and check the selected product for the flowers it includes. When deciding on the flowers, a Grabgesteck may be placed on a grave for Totensonntag and, in Catholic states, for Allerheiligen; for a tribute intended for a grave, ask the cemetery about the precise location and its arrangements for accepting flowers.
