Ordering from abroad? A local florist prepares and delivers your flowers in Avannaata. Choose the flowers with the recipient in mind, thinking about their personal tastes and the tone you want the gift to convey when it arrives. The order can be paid for online in your own currency. You can write a message for the card without an extra charge, and the wording stays as you entered it. Check the wording and names before submitting the order, and include your signature or the names of the people sending the gift so the sender is clear. Local landmarks such as Jørgen Brønlund are how the town is usually described, though a delivery is routed by street, number and postcode rather than by landmark. Robert Peary is one of the places that identify the town; an order still needs the street, number and postcode to reach a door.
Same-day orders for Avannaata close at 13:00 local time. The order needs the recipient’s full name, a contact number and the complete destination address, including its street number, postcode and town. Include an entry code with the order if one is required to access the building. Where the delivery address includes Inissiaqarfik Nammaarfik, retain the locality when filling in the order.
Sending to Hotel SØMA? Check acceptance with the hotel and put the reservation name on the order. A flower order for someone staying at Hotel Nordlys should use the booking name; check acceptance with the hotel first. Check with Cafémma Hotel before sending flowers for a guest, and supply the name on the booking. When arranging flowers for Hotel SØMA, note its listed address, Nuussuataap Aqqutaa 2; ask the hotel which entrance or reception point should be used when arranging the delivery.
When several people are giving the flowers together at Edvard Kruse-p Atuarfia, put every name on the card message: it is written exactly as you type it and nobody has to be left out. Before sending flowers to Majoriaq, name the member of staff in full on the order; if there is no class to point to, the caretaker can hold the delivery until the recipient is free.
For a service at Church of Upernavik, ask which entrance is used for flowers and how early a tribute should be there. When a funeral service is held at Greenland Free Church, confirm with the parish where flowers should be delivered and by what time they need to arrive. Flowers for a service at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses are usually taken in beforehand; the parish office can say how early the church is able to receive them.
If a flower in the chosen arrangement is unavailable, the florist may use a replacement of equal or greater value while preserving the style of the arrangement.
You may request a preferred delivery time, but an exact hour is not guaranteed: the request is a preference rather than a booked delivery appointment. Add timing preferences in the order notes.
You can pay online with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal.
If the recipient is not home, the florist usually contacts them to discuss the delivery; a further delivery attempt may be arranged.
For someone who is travelling, use a hotel, workplace or home address where they will be after arrival, rather than trying to meet them mid-journey; confirm where the recipient will actually be on the intended date before choosing the delivery destination, especially when their plans include a change of hotel or an onward journey.
Address flowers for someone at Eqqartuussivik with the organisation and department clearly identified, after checking that personal deliveries are accepted.
If the flowers are meant as a surprise at Café Victor, say so when you book: staff can usually keep them out of sight until the moment you have in mind.
