Carnations — India

Order before 14:00 and flowers can reach an address in India the same day, with deliveries running Monday to Saturday. Your family is back home and the occasions do not wait for your next visit — a cousin's wedding, a nephew's first day at school, a birthday you have already missed twice from the wrong side of a time difference. Every order includes a free card message, printed exactly as you write it, so what you would have said standing there is what they read at the door.

Choose the bouquet, set the date it should arrive, and let the flowers do the standing-there on a morning when you cannot.

More About Carnations Delivery in India

Choosing the date, and the flower that arrives instead

You are not tied to today. Any future delivery date can be picked at checkout, which is the safest option around the busy weeks, and the calendar is where you set it. What the florist decides is the stem list: arrangements are made with what is freshest, and if a flower isn't available, one of equal or greater value goes in its place in a matching style. The colour, the scale and the shape you ordered are what turn up at the door.

What a delivery address in India needs

Give the complete address: the recipient's name, the flat and building, the street and locality, the city and state, and the six-digit PIN code, plus a phone number for the recipient. PIN codes run to six digits — 110001, for example. The phone number is not a formality: florists use it to confirm availability and pin down the exact address before they set out, and a wrong digit there costs more time than a missing landmark. If the delivery is going to an apartment, add the door code at checkout, where it costs nothing and saves a wasted trip.

Bouquets, plants and loose flowers sold by weight

Over 200 gifts are ready to send, over 100 of them fresh Flowers, with Gift Baskets, Plants, Chocolates and a Balloon for the orders that want more than stems. Bouquets are usually hand-tied and wrapped in cellophane or glossy paper with ribbon, worked through with fern, areca palm and asparagus fern leaves, while loose flowers are sold by weight for garland-making. Field-grown marigold, gladiolus and rose peak in the cooler months, roughly October to March; through the hot months the supply leans on hill-grown flowers from Himachal Pradesh and Sikkim and on greenhouse production. For the morning-after gesture that says last night meant something, a rose bouquet does it in any month. Add one at checkout.

Where the flowers grow, and which colours carry meaning

Roses, marigolds, chrysanthemums, gladioli, tuberoses, jasmine, carnations and gerberas are grown commercially here — around Pune and Nashik in Maharashtra, the Bengaluru region of Karnataka, the Nilgiris in Tamil Nadu and the Kolkata region of West Bengal — and the wholesale trade moves through markets such as Ghazipur in Delhi and Dadar in Mumbai. Arrangements run dense and colour-rich, and beside them sit the loose-flower garlands — haar — that welcome a guest, honour an elder and mark a wedding or religious ceremony. White flowers read as mourning: chrysanthemum, jasmine and tuberose are conventional for funerals, and marigold garlands are placed on the body and photograph in Hindu rites. White is kept out of a festive gift, and in cities the Western-style rose bouquet has taken that place.

How far ahead to order for weddings and festivals

Weddings drive more cut-flower and garland demand than anything else, running roughly November to February and again April to June, on the auspicious dates (muhurat). Diwali, on the new moon of the month of Kartik, typically October or November, calls for marigold garlands and flowers for decoration and worship; Navratri / Durga Puja runs nine days in Ashwin, usually September or October; Ganesh Chaturthi falls in Bhadrapada, around August or September, with garlands for the idols, especially in Maharashtra. Valentine's Day on 14 February and Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May are the exception to the usual schedule — florists open for the big flower days, so your order can arrive even when the date falls on a Sunday. Order at least 48 hours ahead for either.

Reaching someone who is mid-journey

Someone mid-journey — at an airport, a railway station or a cruise terminal — is almost impossible to reach with a delivery. Send to their hotel, their office or their home address instead, timed for after they arrive. And if nobody is in when the florist calls, the usual outcome is a phone call to the recipient and a redelivery arranged for a time that works better.

Ordering from abroad, and paying in your own money

You order online from wherever you are; the arrangement is made and delivered locally, which is the whole point when the recipient is half a day ahead of you and the shops near them close before you wake up. Payment is secure and taken in your own currency, so there is nothing to set up before you can send flowers to India — an account, a local card, a favour asked of a relative who lives closer.

Customer Questions

Carnations Delivery to India — FAQs

Can I get same-day flower delivery in India?

Yes — order before 14:00 local time and your flowers can be delivered the same day. Orders placed after the cutoff are delivered on the next available day you choose at checkout.

Can flowers be delivered to a hospital patient?

Acceptance depends on the hospital and ward — check before ordering; otherwise delivery goes to reception. Use the hospital's own city and full address, with the patient's full name and, where possible, the ward or room.

Can I send flowers to a hotel guest?

Yes. Reception will ask for the reservation name and room number, so include the guest's full name and, if you can, their arrival date or booking reference.

Can flowers be delivered to an office?

Yes — include the company name and, if you know it, the floor or department, and the delivery goes to reception. Workplace deliveries should arrive within office hours, so choose a day the recipient is in.

Can I ask for a particular delivery time?

You can request a preferred time slot, but exact times cannot be guaranteed — deliveries follow the local florist's routes and workload for the day. The date you select at checkout is honoured.

How much notice do funeral flowers need?

Wreaths and formal funeral pieces need 24–48 hours' notice. Place the order as soon as the details of the service are known.
