You do not need to be in Gyerim-dong to order: a local florist prepares and delivers flowers sent from abroad. Think about the person receiving the flowers when making your choice, from their preferred style to whether the gift is personal or sent on behalf of others. You can complete payment online using your own currency. There is no charge for the accompanying card, which uses your message exactly as supplied. Read the message through before confirming your order, checking personal names and adding the signature you want the recipient to see when they open the card. People locate the town by College of Education Mission Stone in conversation, but an order is matched to a street and a postcode, so give the full address of the destination. Local landmarks such as Memorial Site No. 1 of the May 18 Gwangju Democratic Uprising are how the town is usually described, though a delivery is routed by street, number and postcode rather than by landmark.

For delivery on the same day in Gyerim-dong, the order needs to be placed before 14:00 local time. Use the full destination address on the order: street and number, postcode and town, followed by the recipient’s name and contact number. Add any required entry code before submitting the order. When the destination is in Unam-dong, include the locality rather than leaving it out of the address.
If you are sending flowers to someone at Kwangju Christian Hospital, first check whether their ward accepts them and enter the hospital’s full delivery address. A flower order for a recipient at Yangmyung Convalescent Hospital needs the hospital’s own delivery address and a prior check with the ward about acceptance. Before sending to Chosun University Hospital, confirm flower acceptance with the ward and enter the hospital’s own delivery address. The street address listed for Kwangju Christian Hospital is 양림로 37; confirm the appropriate entrance or delivery point with the hospital before using this address for flowers.
Check that Hotel Yeogieottae can accept flowers for the guest before ordering, using the reservation name to identify them. Check with First Hotel before sending flowers for a guest, and supply the name on the booking. If you are sending to a guest of Duu Hotel, check the hotel’s arrangements for accepting flowers and address the order using the name on the reservation. The address for Hotel Yeogieottae is given as 서석로7번길 3; ask the hotel which entrance or reception point should be used when arranging the delivery.
Flowers for a service at Im-dong Cathedral are usually taken in beforehand; the parish office can say how early the church is able to receive them. When a funeral service is held at Deongnimsa Temple, confirm with the parish where flowers should be delivered and by what time they need to arrive. If the service takes place at Gwangju SeongjI Church, the tribute usually goes to the church rather than to the family’s home; confirm the time with whoever is arranging it.
If a flower is unavailable, its replacement keeps the style and is of equal or greater value.
You may request a preferred delivery time, but an exact hour is not guaranteed: the request is a preference rather than a booked delivery appointment. If timing matters for the occasion, describe it in the order notes.
You can pay online with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal.
For someone who is travelling, use a hotel, workplace or home address where they will be after arrival, rather than trying to meet them mid-journey; confirm where the recipient will actually be on the intended date before choosing the delivery destination, especially when their plans include a change of hotel or an onward journey.
Before placing a workplace order for Goethe Institut Gwangju, ask whether personal deliveries are accepted and give the organisation and recipient’s department.
Keep the locality on the order when the recipient’s address is in Wolsan-dong.
If the flowers are meant as a surprise at Gopbuni Gopchang, say so when you book: staff can usually keep them out of sight until the moment you have in mind.
Other listed options include gift baskets, plants and chocolates. Check availability for the product you choose.
For a delivery to a teacher at Gwangju Dongshin Girls' High School, write the name in full and add the class or year group where you know it; the office or the caretaker usually takes the delivery in, so the clearer the name, the surer it reaches the right person.
A delivery for Gwangju Jeil High School is normally received by the school office or the caretaker rather than by the person it is for, so give the recipient’s full name and, where there is one, the class or department.
Sending flowers to someone at Gwangju Wolsan Elementary School? Say plainly who they are for — the teacher’s full name, and the class if there is one — because whoever signs at the door is rarely the recipient.
