A florist in Wattegama handles the arrangement and delivery when you order from abroad. When choosing the flowers, consider the recipient’s tastes and whether you want the gift to feel personal, formal or understated for the person receiving it. Pay for the flowers online, using your own currency at checkout. The card is included in the order, and your message is printed exactly as written. Before confirming the order, check the spelling of names and sign the message as you want the recipient to read it, especially when ordering for someone else. Local landmarks such as Anagarika Dharmapala are how the town is usually described, though a delivery is routed by street, number and postcode rather than by landmark.
Same-day orders for Wattegama close at 18:00 local time. The order needs the recipient’s full name, a contact number and the complete destination address, including its street number, postcode and town. Where access depends on a door code, include that code in the order details. When the destination is in Akurana, include the locality rather than leaving it out of the address.
If you are sending to a guest of Brookside Resort, check the hotel’s arrangements for accepting flowers and address the order using the name on the reservation. Before ordering for a guest at Simpson's Forest Hotel, ask the hotel about flower deliveries and confirm the reservation name. If the recipient is staying at Green View Holiday Resort, ask about flower delivery arrangements and give the name on their reservation. The address given for Brookside Resort is Elkaduwa Road; ask the hotel which entrance or reception point should be used when arranging the delivery.
When several people are giving the flowers together at Dumbara Rajakeeya Kanishta Vidyalaya, put every name on the card message: it is written exactly as you type it and nobody has to be left out. A delivery for Lunuketiya Madiththa Maha Vidyalaya is normally received by the school office or the caretaker rather than by the person it is for, so give the recipient’s full name and, where there is one, the class or department. For a delivery to a teacher at Pilawala Navodya Maha Vidyalaya, write the name in full and add the class or year group where you know it; the office or the caretaker usually takes the delivery in, so the clearer the name, the surer it reaches the right person.
Flowers for a service at Gothamachethiya Mangalagiri Buddhist Monastery are usually taken in beforehand; the parish office can say how early the church is able to receive them.
If a flower is unavailable, its replacement keeps the style and is of equal or greater value.
A preferred delivery time can be requested, but it is not a guaranteed appointment, so an order should not be planned around arrival at an exact hour. If timing matters for the occasion, describe it in the order notes.
You can pay online with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal.
If the recipient is not home, the florist usually contacts them to discuss the delivery; a further delivery attempt may be arranged.
For someone who is travelling, use a hotel, workplace or home address where they will be after arrival, rather than trying to meet them mid-journey; confirm where the recipient will actually be on the intended date before choosing the delivery destination, especially when their plans include a change of hotel or an onward journey.
For a recipient at Panwila Divisional Secretariat Office, include the organisation’s name and any floor or department, and check whether personal deliveries are accepted.
For someone in Deiyannewela, use that locality name within the delivery address.
Other listed options include gift baskets, plants, chocolates and cakes. Check availability for the product you choose.
