You do not need to be in New Haven to order: a local florist prepares and delivers flowers sent from abroad. Think about the person receiving the flowers when making your choice, from their preferred style to whether the gift is personal or sent on behalf of others. You can complete payment online using your own currency. You can write a message for the card without an extra charge, and the wording stays as you entered it. Check the wording and names before submitting the order, and include your signature or the names of the people sending the gift so the sender is clear. Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument is one of the places that identify the town; an order still needs the street, number and postcode to reach a door. Local landmarks such as 29th Colored Regiment Monument are how the town is usually described, though a delivery is routed by street, number and postcode rather than by landmark.
Select a city to see local florists & same-day delivery options
To order flowers for same-day delivery in New Haven, use the destination’s 12:00 local cutoff. Provide the street, number, postcode and town together with the recipient’s full name and contact telephone number. If an entry code is needed, include it with the order. Keep the locality on the order when the recipient’s address is in Annex.
If you are sending flowers to someone at Smilow Cancer Hospital, first check whether their ward accepts them and enter the hospital’s full delivery address. Check the flower policy of the relevant ward before ordering for Grimes Center, using the hospital’s own address for the destination. Before arranging flowers for someone at Yale Health Center, check acceptance with the hospital and ward, then provide the institution’s complete address. Smilow Cancer Hospital has a listed address of Park Street 35; confirm the appropriate entrance or delivery point with the hospital before using this address for flowers.
If the recipient is staying at Graduate by Hilton New Haven, ask about flower delivery arrangements and give the name on their reservation. Check that Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale can accept flowers for the guest before ordering, using the reservation name to identify them. For a guest at Hotel Marcel, confirm that the hotel accepts flower deliveries and provide the name used for the reservation. Graduate by Hilton New Haven is listed at Chapel Street 1151; ask the hotel which entrance or reception point should be used when arranging the delivery.
If the service takes place at Battell Chapel, the tribute usually goes to the church rather than to the family’s home; confirm the time with whoever is arranging it. When a funeral service is held at Saint Thomas More Catholic Chapel & Center at Yale University, confirm with the parish where flowers should be delivered and by what time they need to arrive. For a service at Christ Church, ask which entrance is used for flowers and how early a tribute should be there.
An unavailable flower may be replaced with one of equal or greater value in the same style.
A preferred delivery time can be requested, but it is not a guaranteed appointment, so an order should not be planned around arrival at an exact hour. Add timing preferences in the order notes.
You can pay online with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal.
If the recipient is not home, the florist usually contacts them to discuss the delivery; a further delivery attempt may be arranged.
For someone who is travelling, use a hotel, workplace or home address where they will be after arrival, rather than trying to meet them mid-journey; confirm where the recipient will actually be on the intended date before choosing the delivery destination, especially when their plans include a change of hotel or an onward journey.
When ordering for a recipient at Federal Bureau of Investigation New Haven Field Office, check acceptance of personal deliveries and include the organisation and department in the details.
For someone in Dixwell, use that locality name within the delivery address.
If the delivery address is Howard K Hill Funeral Services, confirm the exact meeting point and arrangements with the venue before ordering a tribute. If flowers are going to Union Cemetery, check the opening hours for the day of the service and agree a handover point rather than relying on a plot number.
If the flowers are meant as a surprise at Modern Apizza, say so when you book: staff can usually keep them out of sight until the moment you have in mind.
Other listed options include gift baskets, plants and chocolates. Check availability for the product you choose.
A delivery for Educational Center for the Arts is normally received by the school office or the caretaker rather than by the person it is for, so give the recipient’s full name and, where there is one, the class or department.
For a delivery to a teacher at The Foote School, write the name in full and add the class or year group where you know it; the office or the caretaker usually takes the delivery in, so the clearer the name, the surer it reaches the right person.
Before sending flowers to Worthington Hooker School, name the member of staff in full on the order; if there is no class to point to, the caretaker can hold the delivery until the recipient is free.
