Same Day Delivery
Order before 14:00 and the flowers can be delivered the same day, Monday to Saturday, by a florist working close to the address you give. Your family is back home and the occasions do not wait for your next visit: a birthday, a new grandchild, an anniversary that lands mid-week while you are somewhere else entirely. Sending flowers to Bangladesh takes a few minutes online, and you pay in the currency you already hold rather than in one you have to go and find.
Choose an arrangement, add the delivery date you want, and place your order before this afternoon's cutoff to have it standing at their door later today.

Give the complete address: house and road number, area, town and the four-digit postcode, plus a phone number for the recipient. Postcodes run to four digits — 1000 is the Dhaka GPO code — and the area name matters as much as the number. The phone line is not a formality: florists use it to confirm availability and the exact address before they set out. Apartment deliveries often need a door code, so add that at checkout too, where it costs nothing extra.
Someone went out of their way for you, and a thank-you that arrives at their door says it better than a message. Over 100 flower arrangements are ready to send, from single-stem to mixed seasonal, and gift baskets, plants, chocolates and cakes bring the choice to over 200 gifts in all. They travel on the same order and land in the same delivery, at the same address, on the date you set. Start with the flowers, then add the thing that makes it feel considered.
Flowers here do ceremonial work as well as decorative. Strung garlands, or mala, are presented to guests, dignitaries and performers as a gesture of welcome or honour, and they sit alongside simple hand-tied bouquets wrapped in cellophane or paper and finished with fern, dracaena or areca palm leaves. Rose, marigold, tuberose (rajanigandha), gladiolus, chrysanthemum and gerbera are grown around Jhikargachha in Jessore, at Godkhali and at Gaddipara and Panisara, with the Godkhali Flower Market at the centre of the wholesale trade. Field supply peaks in the cool, dry winter, roughly November to February, and thins out through the hot, humid summer and monsoon months. White flowers, tuberose among them, are the customary choice for funeral wreaths and tributes.
February is the month that moves flowers here. Pohela Falgun (start of spring) on 13 February and Valentine's Day the day after run into one another, with flowers worn in the hair for the first and gifted between couples for the second; on 21 February, flowers and wreaths are laid at the Shaheed Minar for Ekushey February (International Mother Language Day). Valentine's Day and Mother's Day are the exception to the usual schedule: florists open for the big flower days, so your order can arrive even when the date falls on a Sunday. Order at least 48 hours ahead for either. Pohela Boishakh (Bengali New Year) on 14 April brings flowers back into the hair and the decoration.
Someone mid-journey is almost impossible to reach. An airport, a railway station or a cruise terminal keeps them moving, so send to their hotel, office or home address instead, timed for after they arrive. If the recipient is not home when the flowers reach the door, the florist will usually call them or arrange a redelivery. Arrangements are made with what is freshest, so if a flower is not available the florist substitutes one of equal or greater value in a matching style, holding the look you chose.
Sending from another country changes nothing at your end: you order online, and the arrangement is made and delivered locally. Every order includes a free card message, printed exactly as you write it — worth a minute of thought, because it is the part the recipient reads first and keeps. Write it the way you would say it out loud, pick the date, and the local end takes it from there. Send an arrangement with your own words on the card, any day from Monday to Saturday.
