Order before 14:00 local time and the flowers can be in their hands the same day, with deliveries running Monday to Saturday. Someone went out of their way for you, and a thank-you that arrives at the door says it better than a message does; flower delivery to Cyprus is quick enough to say it while the favour is still fresh. A card message comes with every order at no extra cost, printed word for word, so the thanks are in your phrasing and not in ours, whichever date you end up choosing.
Set the delivery date at checkout, and a florist close to the address makes the bouquet up for that day.
“The bouquet was even more beautiful than the photo. Arrived fresh, perfectly wrapped and exactly on time. My recipient was absolutely delighted. Highest recommendation.”
“Needed flowers delivered the same day — Internet Florist delivered perfectly. The arrangement was gorgeous and the packaging was premium quality. Will order again!”
“Used Internet Florist three times now. Every single order has been fresh, beautifully arranged and on time. Genuinely the best online florist I have found anywhere.”

The day, yes. The checkout calendar shows only the dates that can be met, and the date you choose is the one the florist works to, which is why a birthday is worth setting a fortnight before it arrives. The hour is another matter: a preferred slot can be requested, though exact times are not guaranteed, because deliveries follow each florist's route and workload for the day. And if a particular flower is not in that morning, the florist swaps it for one of equal or greater value that keeps the same look.
Street, postcode, phone. Addresses in Cyprus run a four-digit postcode — for example, 1010 Nicosia — and it belongs in the order with the street and number. The recipient's local phone number does as much work as the address itself, because florists use it to confirm availability and to pin down where exactly they are going. If the delivery is to an apartment, the door code goes in at checkout, in one line, at no cost.
Some occasions ask for something other than stems. Gift baskets, plants, chocolates and balloons are ordered exactly the way flowers are and arrive on the date you name, and there are over 200 flower arrangements to work through when a bouquet is what the day calls for. Pick what suits the person rather than what suits the occasion, then set the date.
Carnations, gerberas, roses and chrysanthemums are grown here, mainly around the Kokkinochoria and in the Paphos and Larnaca districts, and the wholesale trade passes through the Nicosia Central Flower and Vegetable Market. Greenhouse carnations and gerberas appear to run year-round, while field-grown flowers peak in spring and the summer heat pushes florists toward imports from the Netherlands and Israel. Bouquets tend to be compact and colourful in the Mediterranean manner, hand-tied in cellophane or paper, with eucalyptus, ruscus, asparagus fern or myrtle for greenery. Odd numbers of stems are usually preferred, and even numbers avoided, being associated with mourning.
Mother's Day, the second Sunday of May, is widely marked with flowers for mothers, and Valentine's Day on February 14 is the other big one, red roses above all. Both are the exception to the usual schedule: florists open for the big flower days, so your order can arrive even when the date falls on a Sunday. Order at least 48 hours ahead. International Women's Day on March 8 brings its own round of flowers given to women, and in spring, typically May, the Anthestiria Flower Festival fills Limassol and other coastal towns with parades and floral displays.
Some deliveries need a different address altogether. Someone mid-journey — at an airport, a station, a cruise terminal — is almost impossible to reach, so send to their hotel, office or home instead, timed for after they arrive. Where nobody answers the door at home, the florist will usually telephone the recipient or arrange a redelivery. And when you are saying goodbye from far away, flowers stand in for you at the service: wreaths of white flowers, stefani, are the standard tribute, with white lilies and white chrysanthemums the customary choice. Wreaths and formal funeral pieces need 24–48 hours' notice.
Distance is the part that changes least. You order online from wherever you are, checkout is in your own currency, paid securely, and the arrangement is made and delivered locally by a florist working near the recipient. Most orders placed for the country come from outside it, and the whole of it takes a few minutes online, with nothing to arrange at the other end.
