Balloon — Egypt

Half a world away, and the bouquet is still chosen, tied and delivered on the ground the same afternoon — order before 16:00 and it can reach them today. We deliver Monday to Saturday, so any later date you pick at checkout is a day a florist is working. Someone went out of their way for you, and a thank-you that turns up at their door says it better than a message; sending flowers to Egypt puts it in their hands, not in their inbox.

Choose the bouquet, name the day you want at checkout, and a florist working near that address makes it up and carries it to the door on the day.

More About Balloon Delivery in Egypt

Fresh stems, swaps and choosing a later date

Bouquets follow the freshest stems of the day, so an unavailable flower is replaced with one of equal or greater value in the same style. If the date matters more than the speed — an engagement dinner, an anniversary you have known about for months — set a future date at checkout instead, which is the safer option around the busiest weeks of the year. The calendar only offers dates that can actually be worked, so anything you are able to select is a date you can count on.

What to put in the address box

Give the complete address: street and number, city, and the five-digit postcode, plus a phone number for the recipient. The postcode does the coarse work — 11511 is a Cairo one — and the phone number does the fine work, because florists use it to confirm availability and the exact address. Apartment deliveries often need a door code, so add it at checkout rather than leaving it to be guessed at the street door.

Beyond the bouquet: cakes, chocolates and balloons

Over 300 gifts are ready to send, and over 200 of them are flowers. When a bouquet is not the whole idea, the same order can carry gift baskets, plants, chocolates, balloons and over 40 cakes — a birthday that wants a candle on it, a new arrival that wants something to keep. No occasion at all works too, and it tends to land harder for it. Add the extras to the flowers and they travel to the door together.

Where Egypt's cut flowers come from, and what they mean

Cut flowers are grown across the Nile Delta and in Qalyubia, Giza, Fayoum and Ismailia — roses, gladioli, chrysanthemums, carnations, gypsophila, strawflower and statice among them. Open-field supply appears most abundant in the cooler months from autumn through spring, since summer heat is too extreme for most field-grown blooms; wholesale trade runs through markets such as the Shubra El-Kheima Flower Market in Cairo. Bouquets tend to be bright and densely packed, bold in colour, hand-tied in layered decorative cellophane with ribbon; fern, ruscus and eucalyptus fill the greenery, and gerbera and tuberose turn up often. Red roses are the usual choice for a romantic occasion, and jasmine garlands — strung flowers known locally as full or yasmine — are worn and exchanged at weddings and festive celebrations.

Which dates need ordering ahead

Valentine's Day, 14 February, is the exception to the usual schedule — florists open for the big flower days, so your order can arrive even when the date falls on a Sunday. Around Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, order at least 48 hours ahead. Egyptian Mother's Day, 21 March every year, is one of the biggest flower-gifting days of the year and began here in 1956. Eid al-Fitr, on the 1st to 3rd of Shawwal after Ramadan, and Eid al-Adha, on the 10th to 13th of Dhu al-Hijjah, are both gift-giving occasions where flowers go alongside other presents, and Coptic Christmas falls on 7 January.

How to reach someone who is travelling

Someone mid-journey — at an airport, railway station or cruise terminal — is almost impossible to reach with a delivery, so send to their hotel, office or home address instead, timed for after they arrive. If the recipient isn't home, the florist typically calls them or arranges redelivery. Funerals deserve a word of their own: among the country's Coptic Christian community, wreaths and white flower arrangements are conventional, while in Islamic tradition, which most people here follow, elaborate floral tributes are not customary and condolence visits usually do not involve flowers. Where a wreath or formal funeral piece is right, it needs 24–48 hours' notice.

Paying, the card message and ordering from outside the country

Sending from another country changes nothing at your end: you order online, and the arrangement is made and delivered locally by someone who knows the streets in question. You order and pay securely online in your own currency. Write a card message at checkout and it travels with the flowers, free and exactly as you typed it — which is the part of the gift that says who it came from, since nobody signs a bouquet. Set the date, write the card, and the rest happens locally.

Customer Questions

Balloon Delivery to Egypt — FAQs

Can I get same-day flower delivery in Egypt?

Yes — order before 16:00 local time and your flowers can be delivered the same day. Orders placed after the cutoff are delivered on the next available day you choose at checkout.

Can flowers be delivered to a hospital?

Acceptance depends on the hospital and ward, so check before ordering; otherwise delivery goes to reception. Use the hospital's own city and full address, with the patient's full name and, where possible, the ward or room.

Can you deliver to a hotel?

Yes. Hotel receptions ask for the reservation name and room number, so include the guest's full name and, if you can, their arrival date or booking reference.

Can flowers go to someone's workplace?

Yes — include the company name and, if you know it, the floor or department, and the delivery goes to reception. Workplace deliveries should arrive within office hours, so choose a day the recipient is in.

Can you deliver to a care residence?

Yes. Include the resident's full name and, where possible, the floor or unit. It is worth checking the residence accepts flower deliveries; reception will usually pass them on.

Can I ask for a particular time of day?

You can request a preferred time slot, but exact times cannot be guaranteed — deliveries follow the local florist's routes and workload for the day. The delivery date you select at checkout is honoured.
