Flowers — Lithuania

A different country away, and the flowers are still made up in Lithuania on the day itself: order before 14:00 and the bouquet can be at the door that afternoon, with deliveries running Monday to Saturday. Your family is back home and the occasions do not wait for your next visit — the anniversary you want to mark properly is the one date that will not move. A card message comes with every order at no extra cost, printed word for word, exactly as you type it.

Choose from over 500 gifts, set the delivery date at checkout, and send one that arrives while the day still belongs to them, not the week after.

More About Flowers Delivery in Lithuania

Same-day orders and later dates

An order that misses the early-afternoon deadline moves to the next delivery date you choose, and the calendar offers only the days that are genuinely open. When the date carries the meaning — a wedding anniversary, a graduation, the first morning of a new job — fix it at checkout weeks ahead and the florist works to it. Bouquets follow the freshest stems of the day, which means an unavailable flower is replaced with one of equal or greater value in the same style. Set the day first; the bouquet is the easy part.

What does a Lithuanian address need?

Addresses in Lithuania run a five-digit code prefixed with LT- — for example, LT-01100. Street and building number, apartment number where there is one, then that code and the town. Include the recipient's local phone number as well: florists use it to confirm availability and the exact address, and it is the line most often left empty. Apartment blocks frequently need a door code to get past the front door — add it at checkout, where it costs nothing and saves a wasted trip.

Adding wine, cake or a balloon to the order

Flowers are the point, but they need not travel alone: dried flowers, silk flowers and preserved roses, plants, gift baskets, chocolates, perfumes, wine, champagne, cakes and balloons all go into the same delivery. There are over 100 gift baskets and over 70 chocolate gifts to pair with a bouquet. An anniversary you want to mark properly from a distance usually wants two things arriving together, not one. Add the second item before you reach the card message, and the whole order travels as one.

Odd numbers, birch branches and the peony season

Give flowers in odd numbers for a happy occasion — even numbers belong to funerals and mourning, and the distinction is taken seriously. Yellow flowers are sometimes left out, as they can carry a sense of farewell, and it is customary to open or remove the wrapping paper before the bouquet is handed over. Tulips, peonies, gladioli and chrysanthemums are grown in the country, around the Kaunas and Vilnius districts, and traded through the Palemonas wholesale base near Kaunas. Field-grown stems appear to run from spring through early autumn; the rest of the year leans on greenhouses and imports, mainly via the Netherlands. The arranging is natural and textured, with plenty of foliage — eucalyptus, fern, ruscus and birch branches — and the bouquet comes hand-tied and wrapped in paper.

Mother's Day, Women's Day and the school year

Mother's Day (Motinos diena), the first Sunday of May, is the exception to the usual schedule — florists open for the big flower days, so your order can arrive even when the date falls on a Sunday. Around it and Valentine's Day, order at least 48 hours ahead. International Women's Day (Kovo 8), March 8, is a widespread flower-giving day for the women in someone's life. On the Day of Knowledge (Rugsėjo 1-oji), September 1, children bring flowers to their teachers. Easter (Velykos) moves with the Western Christian calendar and puts spring flowers on the table, and Christmas (Kalėdos), December 25, brings poinsettias and seasonal arrangements into the house.

When the door doesn't open

If the recipient isn't home, the florist will typically call them or arrange a redelivery, so an empty flat seldom ends the order. Someone mid-journey is harder to catch: at an airport, a railway station or a cruise terminal a delivery has nowhere to wait, so send to their hotel, office or home address instead, timed for after they arrive. Wreaths and formal funeral pieces need 24-48 hours' notice. Funeral bouquets take an even number of stems, white chrysanthemums, carnations and lilies are the usual choice, and vainikai — ribboned wreaths — are laid at the grave and at remembrance visits after.

How ordering from another country works

Sending from another country changes nothing at your end: you order online, and the arrangement is made and delivered locally. Pay in the currency you hold, settled online at the moment you order. The occasions that would not wait for your next visit are handled from wherever you happen to be sitting — name the street, choose the day, and a florist there does the rest.

Customer Questions

Flowers Delivery to Lithuania — FAQs

Can I get same-day flower delivery in Lithuania?

Yes — order before 14:00 local time and your flowers can be delivered the same day. Orders placed after the cutoff are delivered on the next available day you choose at checkout.

Can flowers be delivered to a hospital?

Acceptance depends on the hospital and ward — check before ordering; otherwise delivery goes to reception. Use the hospital's own city and full address, with the patient's full name and, where possible, the ward or room.

Can you deliver to a hotel guest?

Yes. Include the guest's full name and, if you can, their arrival date or booking reference, so reception can match the delivery to the right guest.

Can I send flowers to someone's office?

Yes — include the company name and, if you know it, the floor or department, and the delivery goes to reception. Choose a day the recipient is in, so it arrives within office hours.

Can flowers go to a care residence?

Yes. Include the resident's full name and, where possible, the floor or unit. It is worth checking the residence accepts flower deliveries; reception will usually pass them on.

Can I ask for a particular delivery time?

You can request a preferred time slot, but exact times cannot be guaranteed — deliveries follow the local florist's routes and workload for the day.
