You can send flowers to someone in Owhiro Bay even when you are in another country, with the arrangement prepared and delivered locally for your recipient. Think about the person receiving the flowers when making your choice, from their preferred style to whether the gift is personal or sent on behalf of others. At checkout, the order is paid online in your own currency. The included card carries your personal message word for word, with no additional charge. Take a moment to review the names, spelling and signature before confirming, so the message you submit says what you intended and clearly identifies who it is from. Tomb of the Unknown Warrior is one of the places that identify the town; an order still needs the street, number and postcode to reach a door. People locate the town by William Wakefield Memorial in conversation, but an order is matched to a street and a postcode, so give the full address of the destination.
Select a city to see local florists & same-day delivery options
Include the full delivery address and postcode, the recipient’s name and a phone number the florist can use if details need checking. Supply any necessary door code as part of the delivery instructions. For a recipient whose address is in Happy Valley, keep that place name in the address you enter.
A flower order for someone staying at Sojourn Apartment Hotel should use the booking name; check acceptance with the hotel first. If you are sending to a guest of Harbour City Motor Inn, check the hotel’s arrangements for accepting flowers and address the order using the name on the reservation.
When several people are giving the flowers together at Wellington East Girls' College, put every name on the card message: it is written exactly as you type it and nobody has to be left out. For a delivery to a teacher at South Wellington Intermediate School, write the name in full and add the class or year group where you know it; the office or the caretaker usually takes the delivery in, so the clearer the name, the surer it reaches the right person. A delivery for Wellington College is normally received by the school office or the caretaker rather than by the person it is for, so give the recipient’s full name and, where there is one, the class or department.
If the service takes place at All Saints, the tribute usually goes to the church rather than to the family’s home; confirm the time with whoever is arranging it. For a service at Wellington Buddhist Centre, ask which entrance is used for flowers and how early a tribute should be there. Flowers for a service at The Chapel of Our Lady of Compassion are usually taken in beforehand; the parish office can say how early the church is able to receive them.
If a flower in the chosen arrangement is unavailable, the florist may use a replacement of equal or greater value while preserving the style of the arrangement.
You may request a preferred delivery time, but an exact hour is not guaranteed: the request is a preference rather than a booked delivery appointment. If timing matters for the occasion, describe it in the order notes.
You can pay online with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal.
For someone who is travelling, use a hotel, workplace or home address where they will be after arrival, rather than trying to meet them mid-journey; confirm where the recipient will actually be on the intended date before choosing the delivery destination, especially when their plans include a change of hotel or an onward journey.
For flowers addressed to a guest at Rydges Wellington Airport, first ask the hotel whether it accepts deliveries and use the guest’s reservation name in the order.
Address flowers for someone at St Patrick’s Hall with the organisation and department clearly identified, after checking that personal deliveries are accepted.
When the destination is in Kowhai Park, include the locality rather than leaving it out of the address.
Before ordering a tribute for delivery to Wellington Memorials, ask the venue to confirm the address and handover arrangements.
Before ordering flowers for a celebration at Hiakai, check that the restaurant can keep them until the party arrives, and give the booking name so staff can match them to the right table.
Other listed options include gift baskets, plants, chocolates and balloons. Check availability for the product you choose.
