Select a city to see local florists & same-day delivery options
Pick the delivery date at checkout and the order is held for that day. The calendar offers the days florists can work, so a date chosen a fortnight out is as firm as one chosen for tomorrow, and choosing early is the safest way through a busy week. Arrangements are made with what's freshest that morning: if a flower isn't available, the florist substitutes one of equal or greater value in a matching style, so the size, the shape and the colour still match what you chose rather than waiting on one variety to come in.
Addresses in Poland run two digits, a hyphen, three digits — for example, 00-950. Put the street and building number first, then that code and the town, and include the recipient's local phone number: florists use it to confirm availability and pin down the exact address. Apartment deliveries often need a door code, so add it at checkout with everything else. Three lines and a number, and the florist has what they need to get to the right staircase.
Someone is unwell and you cannot be at the bedside, so something bright stands in for you — and it does not have to be cut stems. Dried flowers, silk flowers and preserved roses keep for months; there are potted plants, gift baskets, perfumes, chocolates, wine and champagne, and over 60 cakes. Field-grown flowers are abundant roughly from May to September, and the rest of the year leans on greenhouse production and imports, notably from the Netherlands. Choose the category first, then the date, and the order takes a few minutes from there.
Bouquets are given in odd numbers of stems, a convention firm enough that a florist will follow it unless you ask otherwise. Red roses are the common choice for romantic occasions, while yellow flowers are sometimes avoided as a gift to a partner, as they can be associated with jealousy or parting. The local look is structured and densely packed, with bold, saturated colour, hand-tied and wrapped in paper or cellophane, and eucalyptus, ruscus and salal filling out the shape. Tulips, chrysanthemums, roses, gerberas and lilies are usually grown in the Skierniewice-Łowicz area of Mazovia, in Wielkopolska and around Rzeszów, and much of the trade moves through the Bronisze Wholesale Market outside Warsaw.
On Women's Day (Dzień Kobiet), March 8, flowers go to women, colleagues and relatives, and it is one of the busiest gifting days of the spring. Mother's Day (Dzień Matki), May 26, and Valentine's Day (Walentynki), February 14, are the exception to the usual schedule — florists open for the big flower days, so your order can arrive even when the date falls on a Sunday. Order at least 48 hours ahead for either. All Saints' Day (Wszystkich Świętych), November 1, brings the year's peak demand for chrysanthemums and grave arrangements as families visit cemeteries; cemetery and funeral pieces take an even number of stems, white flowers and wreaths are conventional, and formal pieces need 24-48 hours' notice.
Someone mid-journey — at an airport, railway station or cruise terminal — is almost impossible to reach with a delivery. Send to their hotel, office or home address instead, timed for after they arrive, so there is a fixed place to go and somebody there to take the flowers in. And if the recipient isn't home when the florist calls, they will typically ring them or arrange a redelivery for another time.
You order online from wherever you are; the arrangement is made and delivered locally, by a florist working from the same market the local shops buy in. Write a card message at checkout and it travels with the flowers, free and exactly as you typed it, so the sentence they read is yours and not a summary of it. Write that part before you pay, while you still know what you want it to say.
Yes — order before 14:00 local time and your flowers can be delivered the same day. Orders placed after the cutoff are delivered on the next available day you choose at checkout.
You can request a preferred time slot, but exact times cannot be guaranteed — deliveries follow the local florist's routes and workload for the day. The delivery date you select at checkout is honoured.
Acceptance depends on the hospital and ward — check before ordering; otherwise delivery goes to reception. Use the hospital's own city and full address, with the patient's full name and, where possible, the ward or room.
