You can order flowers for Dunbar online from another country, with local preparation and delivery. For a personal gift, let the recipient’s tastes guide your choice of flowers and consider whether a relaxed, romantic or more formal style would suit them. Pay for the flowers online, using your own currency at checkout. The included card carries your personal message word for word, with no additional charge. Take a moment to review the names, spelling and signature before confirming, so the message you submit says what you intended and clearly identifies who it is from. Stenton War Memorial is one of the places that identify the town; an order still needs the street, number and postcode to reach a door.
Select a city to see local florists & same-day delivery options
Place a same-day order for Dunbar by the local cutoff of 18:00. When completing the delivery details, enter the recipient’s full name, street address, number, postcode and town, together with a contact telephone number. Supply any necessary door code as part of the delivery instructions. For someone in Belhaven, use that locality name within the delivery address.
If you are sending to a guest of Dunmuir Hotel, check the hotel’s arrangements for accepting flowers and address the order using the name on the reservation. Sending to Hillside Hotel? Check acceptance with the hotel and put the reservation name on the order. For flowers addressed to a guest at Royal Mackintosh Hotel, first ask the hotel whether it accepts deliveries and use the guest’s reservation name in the order. For delivery details relating to Dunmuir Hotel, its listed address is Newhouse Terrace 11; ask the hotel which entrance or reception point should be used when arranging the delivery.
Before sending flowers to Belhaven Hill School, name the member of staff in full on the order; if there is no class to point to, the caretaker can hold the delivery until the recipient is free. When several people are giving the flowers together at Dunbar Grammar School, put every name on the card message: it is written exactly as you type it and nobody has to be left out. For a delivery to a teacher at West Barns Primary School, write the name in full and add the class or year group where you know it; the office or the caretaker usually takes the delivery in, so the clearer the name, the surer it reaches the right person.
When a funeral service is held at Dunbar Parish Church, confirm with the parish where flowers should be delivered and by what time they need to arrive. For a service at Behaven Parish Church, ask whether the flowers should be there before the family arrives, and where in the church they are placed. If the service takes place at Dunbar Methodist Church, the tribute usually goes to the church rather than to the family’s home; confirm the time with whoever is arranging it.
If a flower in the chosen arrangement is unavailable, the florist may use a replacement of equal or greater value while preserving the style of the arrangement.
You may request a preferred delivery time, but an exact hour is not guaranteed: the request is a preference rather than a booked delivery appointment. If timing matters for the occasion, describe it in the order notes.
You can pay online with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal.
If the recipient is not home, the florist usually contacts them to discuss the delivery; a further delivery attempt may be arranged.
For someone who is travelling, use a hotel, workplace or home address where they will be after arrival, rather than trying to meet them mid-journey; confirm where the recipient will actually be on the intended date before choosing the delivery destination, especially when their plans include a change of hotel or an onward journey.
A flower order for a recipient at Belhaven Hospital needs the hospital’s own delivery address and a prior check with the ward about acceptance.
When ordering for a recipient at West Barns Village Hall, check acceptance of personal deliveries and include the organisation and department in the details.
A tribute addressed to Binning Memorial Wood should carry the name of the person it is for and the time of the service: a cemetery covers more ground than a single address.
If you are planning flowers for a meal at The Rocks, ask the restaurant whether it can accept the delivery and give the reservation name and meal date when discussing arrangements; do not assume that flowers can be left on the table before the guests arrive.
