Order before 16:00 and your flowers can be in their hands the same day, arranged and delivered by a florist near the recipient. Order later in the day and the next available date is yours to name. It's their birthday and you can't be there — sending flowers to Ecuador puts something in the room on the morning it matters. You pay in the currency you already hold, and the card message you write at checkout travels with the bouquet, free and printed exactly as you typed it.
Choose an arrangement, add the address, and name the delivery date at checkout — from there a local florist takes over, right through to the moment someone opens the door.
“The bouquet was even more beautiful than the photo. Arrived fresh, perfectly wrapped and exactly on time. My recipient was absolutely delighted. Highest recommendation.”
“Needed flowers delivered the same day — Internet Florist delivered perfectly. The arrangement was gorgeous and the packaging was premium quality. Will order again!”
“Used Internet Florist three times now. Every single order has been fresh, beautifully arranged and on time. Genuinely the best online florist I have found anywhere.”
Select a city to see local florists & same-day delivery options
We deliver Monday to Saturday, and the date you set at checkout is the day the order goes out. Flower stock turns over fast, so if a particular flower isn't in that morning, the florist swaps it for one of equal or greater value that keeps the same look. Set a date weeks ahead for something you already know is coming, or name tomorrow when the thought has only just landed.
Addresses here generally carry a six-digit postcode — 170150 covers part of Quito — and adding it puts the florist in the right part of the right city before anyone picks up a phone. Include the recipient's local phone number too: florists use it to confirm availability and the exact address, which is the difference between a delivery that lands first time and one that circles the block. Apartment deliveries often need a door code, so add it at checkout. Street, number, postcode, phone, door code — that is the full set.
Over 200 gifts are ready to send, and over 100 of them are flowers. Bouquets are typically hand-tied and wrapped in kraft paper or cellophane, built in a bold, rose-forward style around large-headed blooms, with eucalyptus, ruscus and fern doing the greenery. Alongside them sit gift baskets, plants and chocolates — useful when a bouquet on its own is not quite the message, or when you want something that outlasts the week. Pick the flowers first; the rest can be added to the same order.
Cut flowers here are grown in the highlands — Cayambe and Tabacundo above all, with more coming from Cotopaxi, Pichincha, Ambato and Carchi. Roses, carnations, gypsophila, chrysanthemums, lilies and hypericum are among the cut flowers grown there, and equatorial greenhouses appear to hold rose quality steady more or less year-round. Roses are usually the default gift, large-headed varieties especially, and a dozen is the usual quantity for anything romantic. Wholesale trade runs through markets such as the Mercado Mayorista de Flores de Quito.
Valentine's Day (Día de San Valentín) on February 14 and Mother's Day (Día de la Madre) on the second Sunday of May are the exception to the usual schedule — florists open for the big flower days, so your order can arrive even when the date falls on a Sunday. Order at least 48 hours ahead. International Women's Day (Día Internacional de la Mujer) on March 8 is another day flowers commonly go to women, and All Souls' Day (Día de los Difuntos) on November 2 draws families to cemeteries with flowers. At Christmas (Navidad) on December 25, poinsettias and seasonal arrangements are used at home and as gifts. An anniversary marked from another country runs on the same schedule.
Someone mid-journey — at an airport, railway station or cruise terminal — is almost impossible to reach with a delivery. Send to their hotel, office or home address instead, timed for after they arrive. If the recipient isn't home when the florist calls, they will usually ring them or arrange a redelivery, so a missed door is rarely the end of it. For funerals and remembrance, white flowers are the convention, lilies and white roses in particular, and the floral wreaths known as coronas are commonly sent and placed at gravesites. Wreaths and formal funeral pieces need 24–48 hours' notice.
