Flowers — Kenya

A continent away, and the flowers are made up in Kenya the same morning: order before 15:00 and they can be at the door that day. Flower delivery to Kenya is arranged online in a few minutes, and sending from another country changes nothing at your end. Someone went out of their way for you, and a bouquet at their door says it better than another message would. Write a card message at checkout and it travels with the flowers, free and exactly as you typed it.

Choose from over 200 arrangements — roses, a plant, chocolates or a cake — and send one to a Kenyan address today, paid for in your own currency.

More About Flowers Delivery in Kenya

Delivery days, and picking a later date

Deliveries go out Monday to Saturday, and the checkout calendar shows which of those dates are still free, so an order placed tonight for a birthday next month takes the same two minutes as one for tomorrow. Bouquets follow the freshest stems of the day: an unavailable flower is replaced with one of equal or greater value in the same style. In practice, the bouquet keeps the size, the shape and the colours you chose, and the swap is made by the florist holding the rest of the bouquet.

Give the florist an address they can find

Addresses run a five-digit postal code alongside a P.O. Box, as in Nairobi 00100. Give the complete address with it — street and building, the estate or area, the town — plus a phone number for the recipient, which florists use to confirm availability and the exact address. Apartment deliveries often need a door code, so add it at checkout while you have the address in front of you. At checkout, that means one screen decides whether the driver is calling from the gate or from the right door.

Cakes, chocolates and plants alongside the flowers

There are Gift Baskets, Plants, Chocolates and over 40 cakes to send with a bouquet or instead of one, which matters when the gift has to do a job flowers alone cannot. An anniversary you want to mark properly from a long way off is one of those: flowers on the table and a cake for the evening. Bouquets are hand-tied and wrapped in cellophane or paper, the way they are sold in flower shops and at roadside stalls. Add the cake to the same order before you check out.

Why Kenya grows roses all year

The country's high-altitude equatorial climate allows near year-round rose and cut-flower production, with export volumes peaking around Valentine's Day and Mother's Day rather than following a strict growing season. Roses, carnations, alstroemeria, lisianthus, hypericum and gypsophila are grown here, around Lake Naivasha, Nakuru and Thika and in the Mount Kenya region at Nanyuki and Timau, with wholesale trade running through the Nairobi Wakulima Market. Arrangements tend to be bold and rose-forward in saturated colour, finished with eucalyptus, ruscus or asparagus fern. Roses, carried by the export industry, are the default gift flower for romance; cut flowers as an everyday social gift are less deeply embedded than in Western countries and more common in urban settings.

The dates that move the most flowers

Valentine's Day, February 14, and Mother's Day, the second Sunday of May, are the exception to the usual week: florists open for the big flower days, so your order can arrive even when the date falls on a Sunday. Order at least 48 hours ahead for both. Easter, movable in March or April, brings family gatherings and church decoration, and Christmas on December 25 puts flowers into homes and churches again. The wedding season concentrates around June to August and December, when bridal bouquets and event work take up much of a florist's week — a good reason to place a gift order early in those months.

What happens when the doorstep is empty

If the recipient isn't home, the florist will usually call them or arrange a redelivery, so a missed visit is rarely the end of the order. Someone mid-journey is the harder case: a person at an airport, a railway station or a cruise terminal is almost impossible to reach with a delivery. Send to their hotel, office or home address instead, timed for after they arrive, and give the address where they will be settled, not the one they are passing through.

Customer Questions

Flowers Delivery to Kenya — FAQs

Can I get same-day flower delivery in Kenya?

Yes — order before 15:00 local time and your flowers can be delivered the same day. Orders placed after the cutoff are delivered on the next available day you choose at checkout.

Can flowers be delivered to a hospital?

Acceptance depends on the hospital and ward — check before ordering; otherwise delivery goes to reception. Use the hospital's own city and full address, with the patient's full name and, where possible, the ward or room.

Can you deliver to a hotel guest?

Yes. Reception will ask for the reservation name and room number, so include the guest's full name and, if you can, their arrival date or booking reference.

Can flowers be sent to a care residence?

Yes. Include the resident's full name and, where possible, the floor or unit. It is worth checking the residence accepts flower deliveries; reception will usually pass them on.

Can flowers be sent to an office?

Yes — include the company name and, if you know it, the floor or department, and the delivery goes to reception. Workplace deliveries should arrive within office hours, so choose a day the recipient is in.

Can I ask for a particular delivery time?

You can request a preferred time slot, but exact times cannot be guaranteed — deliveries follow the local florist's routes and workload for the day. The date you select at checkout is honoured.

How much notice does a funeral wreath need?

Wreaths and formal funeral pieces need 24–48 hours' notice, so order the day before where you can and give the full address of the place where the service is held.
