Flower Delivery in France - Plants, Gift Baskets, Chocolates and Cakes

Order before 16:00 and the flowers can be in their hands the same day, made up that morning by a florist in the recipient's own town. Someone went out of their way for you, and a thank-you at their door says it better than another message: sending flowers to France takes about as long as writing the card that travels with them. You pay in the currency you hold, with the order placed and settled online, and every order includes a free card message, printed exactly as you write it.

Browse the bouquets and plants, set the delivery date at checkout, and the florist takes it from your basket to their doorstep.

More About Flowers Delivery in France

Pick a date the florist can work to

Deliveries run Monday to Saturday, so the real question is which day suits the person receiving them: the morning of a birthday, the evening someone gets back from a trip, the Friday before a family lunch. The date you choose at checkout is the date the shop works to, which is the dependable way to handle a fixed occasion weeks out. Arrangements are made with what's freshest, and if a flower isn't available the florist substitutes one of equal or greater value in a matching style, so the bouquet that arrives holds the shape and the colouring you picked.

What else can go with the flowers?

Over 700 gifts are ready to send, over 400 of them flowers: hand-tied bouquets, single-variety bunches, plants for something that stays after the blooms go. Over 100 gift baskets sit alongside them, and so do dried flowers, silk flowers, preserved roses, chocolates, perfumes, wine, champagne and cakes. A bouquet with champagne beside it is a different gift from a bouquet on its own, and both go out on the same delivery. Add the second item as you order and the florist brings them together. Arrangements here tend to be natural and asymmetrical, seasonal, hand-tied and wrapped in paper, greened with eucalyptus, ruscus, ivy, ferns or olive, and smaller bouquets are traditionally made up in odd numbers.

The flowers France grows, and the ones it brings in

Peony is the most produced cut flower in France at 18.8 million stems, ahead of anemone at 16.8 million, gerbera at 12.2 million, rose at 8.8 million and ranunculus at 8.6 million, as counted for 2026. Close to 85% of the cut flowers sold in the country are grown abroad, and the sector's stated aim is to move domestic supply from 15% to 20% by 2030. Growing is concentrated in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Pays de la Loire and Nouvelle-Aquitaine, with wholesale trade running through the Marché International de Rungis and the Marché aux Fleurs d'Hyères. Home-grown stems are most abundant from spring through autumn, and winter leans harder on greenhouse production and imports. Florists themselves are largely organised under the Fédération Française des Artisans Fleuristes.

Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and the dates a florist plans around Valentine's Day, 14 February, and Mother's Day (Fête des Mères), the last Sunday of May or the first Sunday of June when it coincides with Pentecost, are the exception to the usual schedule: florists open for the big flower days, so your order can arrive even when the date falls on a Sunday. Order at least 48 hours ahead. On Labour Day (Fête du Travail), 1 May, lily of the valley is the established good-luck gift. Chrysanthemums belong to remembrance, placed on graves for All Saints' Day (Toussaint) on 1 November and kept clear of celebratory gifts. Saying goodbye from far away, flowers stand in for you at the service: white lilies and roses are the usual choice, in wreaths, sprays and formal pieces that need 24–48 hours' notice.

Add a phone number and a door code at checkout

Include the recipient's local phone number, because florists use it to confirm availability and the exact address before they set out. Apartment deliveries often need a door code - added at checkout, at no extra cost. Someone mid-journey, at an airport or a railway station, is almost impossible to reach with a delivery, so send to their hotel, office or home address instead, timed for after they arrive. And if nobody answers at home, the florist will typically call the recipient or arrange a redelivery. If you are sending to Lyon, our Lyon page covers the same ground for that city.

Customer Questions

Flowers Delivery to France — FAQs

Can flowers be delivered in France the same day?

Yes - order before 16:00 local time and your flowers can be delivered the same day. Orders placed after the cutoff are delivered on the next available day you choose at checkout.

Can I order from another country?

Yes - you order online from wherever you are, and the arrangement is made and delivered locally, so nothing needs arranging at your end.

Can flowers be delivered to a hospital?

Acceptance depends on the hospital and ward - check before ordering; otherwise delivery goes to reception. Use the hospital's own city and full address, with the patient's full name and, where possible, the ward or room.

Can I send flowers to a hotel guest?

Yes. Reception will ask for the reservation name and room number, so include the guest's full name and, if you can, their arrival date or booking reference.

Can flowers be delivered to an office?

Yes - include the company name and, if you know it, the floor or department, and the delivery goes to reception. Workplace deliveries should arrive within office hours, so choose a day the recipient is in.

Can I send flowers to a care residence?

Yes. Include the resident's full name and, where possible, the floor or unit. It is worth checking the residence accepts flower deliveries; reception will usually pass them on.

Can I ask for a particular delivery time?

You can request a preferred time slot, but exact times cannot be guaranteed - deliveries follow the local florist's routes and workload for the day. The delivery date you select at checkout is honoured.
