Same Day Delivery
Order before 14:00 local time and your flowers can reach them before the day is out. We deliver Monday to Saturday, and a local florist handles the delivery at the other end. Your family is back home and the occasions do not wait for your next visit, so sending flowers to South Africa is a few minutes online: the order is placed and settled where you are, in the currency you hold, and every order includes a free card message, printed exactly as you write it.
Pick from over 200 flower arrangements, or one of over 30 gift baskets, and a florist in South Africa takes it to the door.
“The bouquet was even more beautiful than the photo. Arrived fresh, perfectly wrapped and exactly on time. My recipient was absolutely delighted. Highest recommendation.”

Two small things can change between your order and their door, and both are already handled. Arrangements are made with what's freshest, so if a flower isn't available the florist substitutes one of equal or greater value in a matching style. If the recipient isn't home when the delivery arrives, the florist will usually call them or arrange a redelivery. Neither is a decision that comes back to you mid-morning, and neither costs you anything extra.
Addresses in South Africa run on a four-digit postcode — for example, 2196. Put it with the street and number, then add the recipient's local phone number: florists use it to confirm availability and pin down the exact address before they set out. Apartment deliveries often need a door code as well — it is a field at checkout, and it adds nothing to what you pay. A phone number that actually reaches the recipient is worth more to a delivery than any extra line of directions.
No occasion at all is often what makes a delivery land hardest. Fresh flowers carry most of those, and the same florists also send gift baskets, plants, chocolates, perfumes, cakes and balloons, which means a Tuesday can be marked without a reason attached to it. Hand-tied bunches come wrapped in paper or cellophane, and some arrangements are boxed instead. Choose the category first; the arrangement is the easy part after that.
Protea, leucadendron, ornithogalum and strelitzia grow here alongside roses, chrysanthemums, gerberas and carnations. The growing sits mainly in the Western Cape, taking in the Overberg and the fynbos belt, with more in KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng and Limpopo; Multiflora, the flower auction, runs in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. Fynbos and proteas peak from late autumn through spring, roughly May to October, while roses and other commercial stems come out of greenhouses year-round, supplemented by imports in leaner months. The house style is structured and built around indigenous proteas and fynbos mixed with tropical and Western commercial stems, rather than the imported mixed bunch you might be picturing, with fynbos foliage, eucalyptus and ruscus for greenery. For a funeral, white lilies and chrysanthemums are the conventional choice, sent as wreaths or standing sprays, and both need 24–48 hours' notice.
Mother's Day, the second Sunday of May, and Valentine's Day on 14 February are the exception to the usual schedule — florists open for the big flower days, so your order can arrive even when the date falls on a Sunday. Order at least 48 hours ahead for both. Red roses are the default romantic gift for Valentine's Day. Women's Day on 9 August is commonly marked with flowers given to women, proteas or roses most often. Spring Day on 1 September is a nicety more than a rule: in some communities men give women flowers to mark the first day of spring. Christmas on 25 December puts flowers on the table, and Easter, the Sunday following the Paschal full moon, brings them into churches and homes.
Someone mid-journey is almost impossible to reach with a delivery. An airport, a railway station or a cruise terminal is not a place a delivery can find them, so send to their hotel, office or home address instead, timed for after they arrive. Hotel receptions ask for the reservation name and room number — put both in the order and the flowers reach the right guest. A workplace runs on the same logic: keep it inside office hours, pick a day the recipient is in, and give the company name so reception can route it.
Yes — order before 14:00 local time and your flowers can be delivered the same day. Orders placed after the cutoff are delivered on the next available day you choose at checkout.
Yes. You can pick any future delivery date at checkout, and the calendar only offers dates that are available. Choosing the date yourself is the safest option around busy periods.
Acceptance depends on the hospital and ward — check before ordering; otherwise delivery goes to reception. Use the hospital's own city and full address, with the patient's full name and, where possible, the ward or room.
Yes. Include the resident's full name and, where possible, the floor or unit. It is worth checking the residence accepts flower deliveries; reception will usually pass them on.
You can request a preferred time slot, but exact times cannot be guaranteed — deliveries follow the local florist's routes and workload for the day. The delivery date you select at checkout is honoured.
