Flowers delivery to Germany — flowers, plants, gift baskets and chocolates

Three borders away, and the bouquet is still tied in Germany the same afternoon: order before 15:00 local time and it can reach them today. You're in another country and they're in Germany, which is exactly why the flowers matter — and why the distance should be the part you never have to think about. The card message comes with every order at no extra cost, printed word for word, and you pay in the currency you hold, because the order is placed and settled online.

Choose the bouquet, add the address and the date, and a florist near them has it made up and delivered on the day you picked.

Order early in the day, and the delivery week that follows

Deliveries run Monday to Saturday. In practice, what is freshest that morning is what shapes the arrangement: if a flower isn't available, the florist substitutes one of equal or greater value in a matching style, so the size and the character of what you chose arrive intact even when a single stem does not. It is worth knowing before you order, because it is the difference between a bouquet that goes out today and one that waits on a delivery.

More About Flowers Delivery in Germany

Give the address the way a German florist reads it

Give the complete address: five digits before the town, as in 10115 Berlin, plus a phone number for the recipient. The practical version: the postcode puts the order with the right shop, and the phone number is what the florist uses to confirm availability and the exact address. Apartment deliveries often need a door code — add it at checkout, where it costs nothing and saves a courier standing at a locked street door with no way to ask.

Over 600 gifts, and what they are for

Flowers are the heart of it, hand-tied and seasonal. Alongside them you can send plants, dried and preserved flowers, silk flowers, gift baskets, perfumes, cakes, champagne, over 60 chocolates and over 70 wines. It's their birthday and you can't be there: a bouquet with a bottle attached does more than either on its own. All of it is put together by a florist in the country and taken to the door, rather than posted to you to forward on.

How a bouquet is read here

Flowers here are given with a grammar attached, and most of it is quiet. Bouquets usually run to an odd number of stems, and thirteen is avoided. The wrapping normally comes off before the bouquet is handed over. Red roses are read as a declaration and are not given casually, and chrysanthemums, white lilies and calla lilies read as funeral flowers. The style follows the same instinct: technically disciplined and clearly structured, with the craft of the arrangement meant to be visible. German field-grown stems run roughly May to October, with peonies early and sunflowers and gladioli through the summer; the trade grows a good deal of its own around Ammerland and Oldenburg in Lower Saxony and on the Lower Rhine at Straelen, where Landgard's market sits.

The dates the flower trade plans around

Mother's Day (Muttertag), the second Sunday of May, is the heaviest flower-buying day of the German year. Valentine's Day (Valentinstag), 14 February, runs to red roses and mixed bouquets. Those two are the exception to the usual schedule: florists open for the big flower days, so your order can arrive even when the date falls on a Sunday. Order at least 48 hours ahead. Advent, the four Sundays before Christmas, belongs to the Adventskranz, the evergreen wreath with its four candles, and evergreen work carries the whole of December. Totensonntag (the last Sunday before Advent) and All Saints' Day (Allerheiligen), 1 November, are for dressing graves.

If they are travelling, or simply out

Worth knowing: someone mid-journey — at an airport, railway station or cruise terminal — is almost impossible to reach with a delivery. Send to their hotel, office or home address instead, timed for after they arrive. And if nobody answers at a home address, the florist will typically call the recipient or arrange a redelivery, which is one more reason the phone number earns its place on the order.

Sending from another country — what to know

Sending from abroad changes nothing at your end. You order online, and the arrangement is made and delivered locally by someone who knows what a bouquet is supposed to look like in that town. The exception: give yourself the German calendar rather than your own when you pick the date. Three borders away when you started, settled now, and the only thing left is the date you want it to arrive.

Customer Questions

Flowers Delivery to Germany — FAQs

Can I get same-day flower delivery in Germany?

Yes — order before 15:00 local time and your flowers can be delivered the same day. Orders placed after the cutoff are delivered on the next available day you choose at checkout.

Can flowers be delivered to a hotel?

Yes. Include the guest's full name and, if you can, their arrival date or booking reference, so reception can match the delivery to the right guest. Receptions ask for the reservation name and room number.

Can I send flowers to someone's workplace?

Yes — include the company name and, if you know it, the floor or department, and the delivery goes to reception. Workplace deliveries should arrive within office hours, so choose a day the recipient is in.

How do hospital deliveries work?

Acceptance depends on the hospital and ward — check before ordering; otherwise delivery goes to reception. Enter the hospital's own city and full address, not the recipient's home town, with the patient's full name and, where possible, the ward or room.

Can I ask for a particular delivery time?

You can request a preferred time slot, but exact times cannot be guaranteed — deliveries follow the local florist's routes and workload for the day. The delivery date you select at checkout is honoured; the calendar only offers available dates.

How much notice do funeral flowers need?

Wreaths and formal funeral pieces need 24–48 hours' notice. A Kranz or a Trauergesteck, the standing funeral arrangement, usually carries a Schleife, a printed ribbon naming the mourner, and its wording is chosen when the piece is ordered.
